garethj Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 To think - the internet is useful for more than just porn and Talbot Alpines! Check out this guy's homage to '80s dashboardshttp://www.doubleyoudigital.nl/~cars_digital%20dashboards.php Just imagine troubleshooting a bad connection on there nowadays
scooters Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 bllody hell - can you imagine trying to hit your hazards in a hurry with that lot?
meggersdog Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 I see there is no Toyota/Lexus Soarer dash on that site, probably because the bloody things never work and just go blank.
Mr H Sceptre Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Loving the laptop set up in the GM El Camino! You could browse Autoshite whilst cruising down the freeway, all nice, safe and legal.
Guest Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Jesus, that Uno dash board is similar to the Piazza's in quite a few ways, except the UK market Turbos had analogue dials. We never got the digital ones that would have finished off the interior a treat.
Minimad5 Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Can anyone name the red car, that can be seen throu' the second picture's window ?Looks like ford Teledials / dogleg alloys
Station Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 I had an Astra GTE one in my mk3 Astra, they get old really quickly, and put the normal one in shortly after.
wuvvum Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 The digital dash is my least favourite feature of the Espace. It was also my least favourite feature of my first Senator, and the main reason why my dad didn't buy my mum a new Twingo in 1993. I'm not a fan. I have to say though that I respect the sheer lunacy of the Lancia Orca dash...
Magnificent Rustbucket Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Can anyone name the red car, that can be seen throu' the second picture's window ? Looks like ford Teledials / dogleg alloysIt's a Ghia Brezza coupe. http://www.christies.com/Lotfinder/lot_ ... 42145&sid= David
brammy777 Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Im suprised theres no Vector dash in there, although compared to some of them its rather tame:
AXrescuer Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Can anyone name the red car, that can be seen throu' the second picture's window ?Looks like ford Teledials / dogleg alloysI never seen those ugly old clover leaf type wheels described as doglegs afore!
pogweasel Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 I never seen those LOVELY old clover leaf type wheels described as doglegs afore! edited for accuracy.
Mash Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 TThat's a coincidence, I've just been looking at that in an 80s copy of Motor.
barrett Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Can anyone name the red car, that can be seen throu' the second picture's window ?Looks like ford Teledials / dogleg alloyshttp://www.carstyling.ru/car.aspx?car_id=2022edit: sorry, as usual i'm several days too late with this. didn't read the whole first page. please ignore this!
FredTransit Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 TThat's a coincidence, I've just been looking at that in an 80s copy of Motor.Sorry but that dash is just mad. It doesn't look like a real production car. Obviously the designer never grasped the concept of being 'minimalist'
Marshall Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Can anyone name the red car, that can be seen throu' the second picture's window ? Looks like ford Teledials / dogleg alloysI never seen those ugly old clover leaf type wheels described as doglegs afore! Sorry to be pedantic BUT: Aren't these doglegs? :-
FredTransit Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I would agree with that. The things with holes in em are cloverleafs.
whitevanman Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Black scrote has the dog legs, not sure what the ones on the red car are called, cloverleafs were the 4 holed horrors on early XR3's
M'coli Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 One set are xr3i doglegs, the others are RS turbo doglegs .
uk_senator Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 They were available in the UK, as was ABS, few people took the option though. Jesus, that Uno dash board is similar to the Piazza's in quite a few ways, except the UK market Turbos had analogue dials. We never got the digital ones that would have finished off the interior a treat.
VWPowered Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Im suprised theres no Vector dash in there, although compared to some of them its rather tame:i like the 10 disc changer on the dash but wheres the playstation
flat4alfa Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 This was my Trevi when it was on a dodgy earth connection day It slept overnight and fixed itself.
uk_senator Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 So you dont think the Senator B dash is hi-tec enough eh? [/img]air I used to love Knight Rider too..
