Breakfast is an McIndigestion and a large coffee.

Offer here in the hope that it meets with @barefoot collection breakfast approval (tm)

Most interesting interaction so far has been the drunk woman who has "been drinking Jack Daniels all night" who is now on the train wanting to go to Birmingham but has no ticket and no money, oh and her phone isn't charged.

I do feel sorry for her, but I fear she has been the master of her own downfall.

Buy her a ticket in exchange for a cheeky gobble?

You've made a reasonable fist of breakfast by the way.

It is sitting heavy  in an overly warm class 170 - the McMuffin that is, not the woman - I politely moved away from her as we boarded.

It's looking like the day is waking up to be a dry and bright one which is good given the amount of rain we have had again.

Rauceby Station, close to the village of Greylees.

The village used to be Rauceby Asylum,  but was renamed when it was redeveloped into homes. History of Rauceby  I suppose its good that the site has been reused, but it seems strange to have a railway line so very close to such an institution, or perhaps a snide form of population control?

Grantham to change for some proper trains.

PC still 1,  although there will be some localised air biscuits in the near future.

There's a proper toilet on here too, no increase in PC, but it's nice to know the need to perch on a glorified dogs bowl isn't prevalent here.

On the final train now, it's a modern electric commuter class.

Final destination achieved,  and my carriage awaits.

Hope the car does you well.

Definitely having sellers regret at the moment, getting rid of the only reliable vehicle I own. 😂

Its going to take a while longer driving its replacement down the A1 this weekend than it took in the Audi.

Shipley Train Station usually has more than one police car in attendance, must have been a quiet day 😂

I was worried he'd gone all that way for the shitty blue thing in the disabled space

I scrolled back up expecting a portaloo,  wasn't disappointed.

I made it back, it is a cracking drive.  I look forward to tinkering and tidying as I get to know it.

Its not a bad place to be at all.

I've ordered some service bits (Im not sure when it was last done @HillmanImp I know you mentioned an oil change?), one of the rear speakers is knackered, I can hear water within the bootlid and a faint whiff of diesel about the front end, so there's only a few little things for me to fiddle with.

All in all I'm liking it a lot.

When I was reading Dirty Dailys original for sale ad I noticed he said the speaker rattled. I thought no it doesn't but I noticed it a couple of days ago. Not sure if I'd just got used to it or what? Although my mate was playing around with all the dials in it the other day, can you fade out the rear speakers? Wonder if he did something and switched them back on?

Although you won't know how to will you as you don't have the book with all the instructions on do you. Still not found that, @DirtyDaily, it did come with a big users manual of how all the shizzle worked didn't it, I'm not thinking of another car? Will keep looking and will send it on as it's around here somewhere.

I've just changed the oil and oil filter in the year/4 thou miles I've owned it. It takes like 9 litres. Mental.

Hopefully there is nothing too bad.

Errrrrr I dunno. All cars I seem to buy seem to have at least one speaker rattling and I do tend to fiddle about with the fade/balance to mitigate it. It will definitely do it.
I think it came with a book in the glove box but I can't remember.
Such a good car though and for the money it's a genuine steal.

Yep I've knocked the balance forward for now, it's bound to be some oddly shaped speaker that nothing aftermarket fits.

It's booked in on Monday for a new key, and long term I might have a smart repair on the paint on the bootlid.
