For anyone who might be interested, check out this great piece of software - it converts any track on YouTube to an mp3 audio file:

http://www.dirpy.com/

You just copy the URL from YouTube & paste in into the box on the homepage & then hit the 'Dirpy' button. Then select 'Download' & 'Save' & select the destination folder. It takes a couple of minutes per track.

So, basically ANY track on YouTube can be saved as an mp3 file!! Amazing!!

I've not looked yet but it's it just for music or can you download videos as well?.

To download video on Youtube you need to use realplayer - it gives you this option. So thats audio (dirpy) and video (relplayer) - SORTED! 8)

I have 'DownloadHelper' installed in Firefox, which means you can download anything on Youtube + 'streamed' music/videos on other sites. To get the MP3 off a video from Youtube I have to use another program - FLV Extract. Thanks for the heads up with this site, i probably wont use it but it's nice to know there's other stuff out there.Cheers, Greg.

Sounds great Mr H. Havent tried it yet though, but it wont be long before I do. Its exactly what I was looking for before vixy.net stopped working for me some time back. As I found a few songs I liked but didnt want the pointless user made videos.I do sometimes use Realplayer to download vids from youtube, but thats only if other downloading type sites dont work properly. I find when playing Realplayer whilst browsing the computer/internet there is a lot of disturbance as the processor doesnt seem to be able to handle multiple applications hence the song/vid goes all choppy.
