After the Metro/100 was shelved Rover went on to offer the pick up with the 200 series front end.
Suspension was changed to standard springs/shocks resulting in a slightly increased load capacity.

Rover experimented with a youth concept version based on the streetwise but it was poorly received by critics.

The Bond name is revived with a new Bond Bug. Whilst it takes design cues from the original it panders to modern expectations with 4 wheels and traditional doors. The option of an electric drivetrain is offered with storage space in the boot being sacrificed to a pair of swappable batteries with a combined range of 150 miles.
The idea is that the owner can remove the batteries for replacement / recharging in 5 minutes making "fuel up" times comparable to liquid fuel cars.

A second drivetrain option is offered as gas powered that can run on LPG/Natural gas/hydrogen or a mixture.

You’d get a V8 in there. Loads of those Ford Pops were turned into hot rods.
