Word of warning...

gearlinkage a bit sticky

...could that mean the syncro is on the way out?

'£175 quid gets it or ill tear the engine out and cube it'

It's not actually worth anywhere near that.

'no tax or test (just out mind)'

Oh that's ok then, it's bound to pass first time if it's just expired

No offense but what is it worth then? A oner? Did you mean the whole car or just the engine?

I managed to sell my miniMetro for £150, and that had a holed piston after it dropped a valve. Did take a long time mind! To say it's worth nowhere near that is a bit harsh.FT - buy it, then by a 1.3 Mini and rape it for the engine. Hmmmm, karma.

Well thats what I have based my offer on - the 1.0 donkey isnt anywhere near as desirable as the 1275 one. Im not in any rush and Im fairly sure I saw this very one in Kirkham last year (will have a trawl through my photos) and if it is the front and rear valance are about 90% Isopon! Looks nice from a few feet away, but not close up.

I sold a half decent and very original one not that long ago that struggled to make £120.It's not so much the money (though I do think it's overpriced) but his '£150 or I'll bail it' line doesn't impress.Don't get me wrong it'd be great to see it saved but to me that will always be an £80 car or whatever scrap is paying at the moment.

Hes not a bad chap from what ive seen of him. I dont think hed crush it rather than sell it for its scrap value. Theres certainly no money other than scrap in the engine. If it were a 1300 then yes, but not a 1 litre!

Being a G plate, the 998 engine will be worth something to someone as it'll be unleaded.

Well I offered a ton and he said no. Thats where it end with me. There are plenty more Metros in the sea (and I still have to see if it was THAT one with the Isopon...)
