I had a Golf for a few weeks with a small "scene" steering wheel like that has and it was an absolute bugger to move about, can't see it helping someone in a wheelchair unless it's powered?

 

They do have power steering, and a device to lift the revs when you try and steer at idle. You probably won't ever see two Envoys the same, they are all modified to suit the owner's particular needs. The owner of the one I know only has his right arm working (his motorbike landed on him and cut his wiring loom) so all his controls are on that side.

 

It's a real bastard to work on I believe. It's like working on a Mini but with many more ancillaries on the engine, and complex linkages for the controls.

I slobbered all over an nice Envoy earlier this year local to me, had been converted to have 2 seats in rear and one seat in front..... Lovely car easily the best spot of the year for me...
