Also, the stuff in the background, I have never seen ANY of them before.

I had that car (I think. From memory, the reg is real similar). Ran it between '97 and '99 until it developed a rod knock and the floor fell out of it. The local tin merchant came and picked it up at that point, gave me 50 quid for it. I never saw it again. Seven clock dash in it too, I've never seen another one.

That SD1 is a honey.

I missed a 1977 auto on ebay last week by 28 quid

That's a George Cowley special.

"THAT'S MR COWLEY TO YOU!"

Didn't the same car appear in The New Avengers piloted by Patrick Macnee aka John Steed?

Say what you like about Brian Clemens but he knew how to write a 70's TV show and seemed to have an affinity for BL vehicles; the man can't be all bad!

That's nice but at the moment it's £500 more than my available cash!

This scabby €700 Fiat 1100 is clearly but one modest entry in this gentleman's many-volumed Encyclopaedia Shiteanicus.

Not sure why I like these so much. I think it might be their starring role in all those Majorette-type continental airport/police/roadworks sets. €750.

Suspect this might be a bit wobby close up, but €790 still can't be bad. Only 79k km as well - plus vinyl 'n' wind deflectors for added WIN.

Look at this! (Not too closely. What do you expect for €800?)

Just as I was getting to grips with the monstrous ugliness of these things, along comes THIS. Having said that, probably not bad for €800.

Try finding one of these which hasn't been totally bastardised. This is the most original one I could find. Shame, as these are quite zippy & totally removed from the awful 1.0 versions.

I’m fairly sure this is the ex-Tim Bishop car. He went to Tatra in the early ‘90s to flog a fuel injection system and ended up getting the contract to develop the T613 from where it hadn’t really moved as a 1970s design with 1980s plastic bumpers stuck on. It gained a very clever sequential fuel injection system, boosting power of the quad cam V8 from 160bhp to 200bhp. They also programmed the ECU to de-clutch the cooling fan at full throttle and maximum revs which gave another 20bhp, briefly.

Power steering was (I think) the same ZF rack as the NSU Ro80 and the suspension got a lot of tweaks to improve the handling. When I had one, its level of grip was way above my level of fear. Aircon was fitted as standard, early ‘90s cars had the radiator in the engine bay but later ones had it behind the front bumper.

I was told that despite having orders, the factory couldn’t build the cars. This might allegedly be alleged to do with the Czech mafia of the time, allegedly. Cars were on the line being completed but when an order for wheels was placed, the lorry would arrive with suspension parts instead. This led to customer orders being cancelled and it all went off the boil.

Now, Tim Bishop is the technical director of Connaught cars, so tough looking Czech assembly workers from the communist era have prepared him well for dealing with Welsh valley girls

Nicely put Gareth, you're right about it being the ex-Bishop car. Probably the most famous Tatra in the world. Trouble is, no one really wants 613s and you could get a concourse 603-2 for less than 25k. Hard to put a value on a unique car but it still seems a bit rich

This fine example of a 504 cabrio is tickling my fancy. If I was looking for a way to loose several thousand pounds and years of spare evenings, this would be the way.

to enjoy summer out on my motorbike while she was stuck at home! (She didn't enjoy being a pillion on the bike.)

I'm not sure this is value for money as such, but it appeals as you'd be much better off buying a nice M3 cabrio or something

If I was buying doomed projects from the 1971 motor show, I'd rather have this, whatever it is...

LOLZ, I would be looking for a car with limo tints, not a look-at-me roadster if I was unlucky enough to be shackled to a misery-faced flesh-mountain like that...

Hmmm, I've never heard of a Siva S530 before. I'm sure all remember the hugely successful* Siva Spider on which it is based though... no? Just me then?

Hey kids, you know how the Tesla roadster is one of those cool electric sportscars? Well I've got something just like it, bet you can't wait for a lift to school now!

"Hi hun, I've just picked up our new family car, it's a Ford Galaxie. Yes, plenty of room inside, it's quite a big car. Ideal for the school run, that kind of thing. No, it doesn't look much like a VW Sharan"
