Engine out of an XR2, dodgy bonnet bulge and a suspect history, but I spoke to someone who saw it the other day and he says it's really good for lack of rust

But now i'm a pensioner

Would never had guessed after seeing those plastic (Rover 200?) wheel trims

but only insured 'to the value of £3.00'

Apparently the story with that car is that the engine developed a problem so the previous owner did the decent thing and reported it stolen. The insurance company paid out, so after a while it made its way to a scrapyard, without any numberplates.

At the same time, there was an XR2 with crashed back end, so the engine and box from the Fiesta was put into the Rancho. It was canted forwards a lot, and the front bar where the bonnet hinges had to be cut away and something else fabricated. It's also got a Fiesta dash pod badly put in which fails to blend with the Rancho dash.

And now it's on ebay. If it wasn't butchered, I'd be splurging my cash on it right now, but I don't think being in the hands of someone who's stuck these together is a smart move

Remarkable, that marina van ended up selling for £4200!

 I wonder if the sale will complete?

Well, surprising to see a Marina going for good money, shite has moved on!

Bloody hell. Marina 'Scene Tax'. It's a disgrace ;)

Old commercials do seem to fetch silly money , lets face it they are designed to last 5 years max , get overloaded , get hammered and get rusty , good survivors are rare now , I know of an Imp Van that went for £9.000 plus import duty from Australia so not cheap .

An investment possibly if its really good

On that basis, if anyone wants to offer me £10k for my R4....

MK1 / 2 and maybe even MK3 escort vans are rare now , Mini vans , Anglia vans /Thames are all getting REALLY sought after. Same goes for pickups

Why would anyone say, "Hey, I'd love a Nissan 200 SX but it's a bit fugly, I know, I'll buy a Mitsuoka Le Seyde instead, it's much better looking".?

Looks like they have copied the Tiffany Classic Coupe, built in the states based on a Mercury Cougar in the mid eighties..

Further Bulgaroshite.

This super-late GSA X3 looks all right for €410.

A cheery cherry Cherry 100A F-II, curiously billed as an '84. Those wheels nearly suit it. 68k km, €410.

€510 doesn't seem much to ask for a diesel-powered tribute to the majesty of the Balkans.
