How frustrating that the Renner 5 ad doesn't say what's wrong with the car? Sold spares or repair, and for 225 quid, there's obviously something major to deal with!

It is on a car lot in Gateshead, as a part-ex with no MoT and no warranty, and it's a 17 year old renault. There might not be anything else wrong! If anyone is interested, I could pop over and have a good look at it...

This sounds like a worthy save for someone, even though it has mot until Aug 2011 the owner is talking about scrapping it as the steering wheel isn't straight!

If car is not bought and collected by Monday 20th I will make arrangements for it to be scrapped.

It's at £130 at the moment, Might be worth emailing them and making a offer if anyones interested.

Just shows what happens when a complete nobber gets hold of a nice car. This is (was) in absolutely mint condition - I know, I've sat in it and wished mine was as good! If it can be bought cheaply it would be well worth sorting out the niggles because it pretty much as new when I saw it last. The steering is very light on these anyway so it's probably alright.

I R HIGH BIDDA on that at the moment. If I get it for what I've bid I'll be quite happy even with the niggles - I do like mid '80s Accords. I think the PAS is speed sensitive on these so can be a little strange - certainly Spottedlaurel's red hatchback had a rather inconsistent feel to the steering. It's the kind of thing you'd soon get used to though.

€850 buys this, get it and use it to tempt a load of Micks to fly into Stansted (one way). Then just go to the pictures and switch your phone off and let them sort themselves out.

Oo, you are awful. But I like you.

Show those X5s and their 335 section tyres who's boss in the snow!

That Monty estate is TEH SEX. My dad used to have a 2.0 GTI estate, I've never seen another one and that's possibly the best estate I've ever seen full stop. Dunk it in a vat of rustproofing fluid and it will last forever :D

Before clicking the link for that Escort van I picked its home county from random. Wow! Lucky guess!

After reading that I did the same. I was equally lucky.

Don't shoot me, but I quite like the idea of a Mondeo van thing... I like the old style of half-paneled half-window vans derived from estates that you don't really get anymore.

Like these Skyline wagons...

That Mondeo looks shit though obviously, I'm just saying I like the idea, not the execution

Good grief that sky line has just caused me to have a trouser accident.

That Monty is pure win.

Pity that Alfa has collapsed suspension and no bumpers.

That orange Mondeo is local. And looks bloody awful in the metal/GRP.
