That 2400 is lovely. It'd be great to put a later 2.5 VM engine out of a Ford Scorpio in it and smoke V8s.

Trigger that Nova is perfect. It costs more money than I have right now though! Depressing!Did anyone see how much that brown 3 door on an A plate went for? It needed slight welding, nothing too difficult but was only on £120 with an hour to go...... Also, that 104 went for 500 odd quid, so Wuvvums price for his is definitely fair.

I believe that is what our American friends would term a 'rape van'.

Posted

Rapey or not, it is still excellent. I could have used something like that today instead of sinking my kangoo to it's axles in clag. Bet it does about 9mpg, mind.

It also has a very interesting numberplate which looks like TAXI.

NO IT DOESNT YOU COMPLETE IDIOT
But you were not looking at this picture! See, isn't it amazing? Just like taxi....

Bet you feel a bit foolish now eh?

The police will pull you out of your car and beat the stuffing out of you nice and quick with that on your car :D

From the description, it appears this innocent van has narrowly escaped death by barrying.

As it is with lella paint and 5-0 spec steels, I would be very pleased to pootle about in it.

Damn you and your spotting skillage. That has about every box ticked for me: Nova, diesel, van, council yellow, (potentially) cheap and not too far away. Though you'd think he'd know that Bodelwyddan isn't even in the same country he mentioned, never mind the same bleeding county.

Bodelwyddan is a stones throw from me. If anyone wants me to have a look I'd be happy to :)

Are 126s worth a lot now? Looks lovely, but I suspect it'll become a 500 donor.

These were the fastest diesels of their day, would love to try one.

That 126 is fab. I would quite like one of the slim-bumpered air-cooled ones for blezzing about in, going to sainsbury's, that sort of thing.

this is my dads car that he has had for a number of years

How many years?!

Rumors that I was conceived in the back seat of this passion wagon on a cold winters night in 1978 are totally false.

I might have made that second quote up

That Viva is simply atrocious, I want my own HB, and a 2 door, ohh mama! I would even run the risk of death by shame in buying that one, but it looks pretty much beyond repair. The crap could be scraped off and holes filled, whole thing resprayed, but it appears pretty fucked up around the rear screen, and I'm guessing the fur has been glued all over the headlining etc. but not before he poured a can of evostick into a binbag and sniffed the shit out of it.+1 vote for 'Bring back hanging for car modders'.
