It’s his car now.

Did you seek approval from previous owners when you modified it?

Or from the people who used to own your house when you painted the stairs?

Congratulations on growing up.

So the buyer of my old F31 has put it on air 😢

Fully shows I’m old now with the disappointment I felt seeing that photo.

Who is this? And what have you done with @JJ0063?🤣

*Not my sort of thing but that does look awesome 😎

Take solace in the fact the resale value has hit rock bottom and the buyers market if and when it comes up for sale will be aligned to those desperados wanting a second series of Eldorado!
Never thought I’d take a second glance at an Evoque but they make sense now and like your other vehicle mods OEM + adds to individuality,  ot sump smashing low riders.

So this went in for a recall today on the power steering motor bolts, got a call after a couple of hours saying they’ve snapped one of the bolts when removing it so they’ve ordered me a whole new steering rack which will be fitted tomorrow FOC. Happy days!

Got this 25 plate Evoque P300E courtesy car for the mean time:

Considering I’m supposed to be picking my car up at 5pm, they’re cutting it fine to get a new rack fitted today I think 😂, tracker shows it in the car park and it’s not been started since 11:22am yesterday.

Not complaining but fully expecting a phone call shortly to say they’ve not had time to do it.

Got a call at 4:15 to say the rack is done but it’s in the queue for the wheel alignment ramp so could I collect at 9AM tomorrow - happy enough with that.

Collected mine this morning, mad to say it was nice to get back in my 13 year old 133k miles one. Interior is much nicer on mine!

Fair play to Kings Lynn Landrover, I can’t complain - it’s come back with a brand new steering rack, print out for 4 wheel alignment, washed and vacuumed. 2 and a bit days in a brand new car and it’s not cost me a penny.

Everything is controlled by one screen and is within sub menus so it’s an arse to do even simple tasks whilst driving.

Heres my interior:

I thought maybe the quality of the leather had dropped. I'm with you on the new one - that would drive me bonkers. I guess you could get used to it but why? Less is more?

(I have a 'thing' about fingerprints on/people touching monitors - I've just about come to terms with mobile phone touchscreens but the sort you have there would mean I'd be constantly wiping and cleaning)

The leather felt a lot different, seats not as comfy etc but I suppose it’s partly down to being brand new, not worn in yet etc

Running everything of a screen is cheaper to build.

The same physical screen goes into the base model and the top model and all in between.

There is no need for a different console for the car that doesn’t have the heated seats, just program the screen to not show the heated seat buttons. Likewise, sunroof buttons, split air con, language etc

Exactly , it's far cheaper to develop/type approve/safety test one item than many different ones to perform the same purpose.
