Perfect, just perfect!!! Absolutely fantastic buy!!! Well done-I love it! As a Skoda fan I appreciate just what a bargain you've bought! The underside looks as if I could eat my Christmas dinner from it and that engine looks only marginally cleaner than when it left that factory in Mlada Bolosav! All in all, an excellent if a bit late Christmas present!

Very nice indeed. We had a white 1981 120 LSE many moons ago.

Love it, espesh the interior and dashboard.

This looks amazing! Good save, it's nice to see one with the individual instruments rather than the later all-in-one dashboard.

I saw the post over on RR, but the cat was sitting on the keyboard at the time!

I don't think I know the 'other sort' of dash??? All the ones I have have had dashes like that??

Here's the ultimate dashboard...from a late Rapid Coupe! Comes with cooker knobs as standard, and the main structure is made from genuine Bassets liquorice!

That's an interesting one - it's got the later rear lights but the earlier front end, don't think I've seen one with that configuration before. Rear track looks wider than an early Estelle too, but I don't know if that's just the wheels?By the way, I seem to recall you're an MoT tester? The front shock absorber "installation" on my Estelle made it into a recent edition of VOSA's magazine as one of the worst bodges seen that month - don't know if you spotted it?

:D Reminds me of many happy days :D My uncle had two Estelles. A 105S (WBC 864S) in Canary Yellow and an orange 120LE (TJU881X) Sod the reviews, they were ace cars. The 120LE has round headlights when introduced (with the original rear lights) but had square lights with the bigger rear lights for 1983 build. Will finding a bumper be a problem? Also trust you'll find a proper black Skoda exhaust, rather than the aftermarket stuff that made the cars sound much quieter

I love that! My dad had one, i think it was a 130 5 speed in mushroom and with the cooker knobs as referd to by /\ someone up the thread /\ he bought it new and kept it for about 6 or 7 years. Great (cheap) motor.

Nice catch! It looks as good as new, that is to say, terrible

The light switch and wiper switch were used on some Tatra 613s, where they'd fall off with a higher quality ambience...

@daverapid:I have a factory workshop manual that is yours if you want it.

I have fond (rose tinted) memories of my mums T reg 120LS, although I'm overlooking the disintergrating seat fabric and the afternoons spent in laybys waiting for the big yellow truck.

There was a dealer in a nearby village, and they were imported in Kings Lynn, about an hour away - so there was always lots of them around.

Mums met an unusual end. Shortly after we sold it (complete with HGF) it did it's steam producing party trick outside an army barracks while they were on red alert.

*controlled explosion!*
