I don't think I've moaned about anthing on here yet but here's one... dealer parts prices. How can a new roof aerial for a Daihatsu Cuore be £175 plus vat?! FFS! What's it made of... platinum mined from the moon? That is totally taking the piss IMO. I bet it cost Daihatsu about £2 to have made. Greedy bastards.

Daihatsu prices tend to be either pretty fair or utterly unreasonable, I paid something like £30 for a parcel shelf (nice) and £48 for a fanbelt (not nice). Is it the huge centre mount aerial you're after? There was a Cuore in Doncaster Motor Spares which should still be sporting one.

The great musician Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse commited suicide 2 days ago. This makes me sad. as someone who has suffred with depression for the best part of a decade I understand he must have been in a very bad place indeed to go to those lengths. I hope he's at peace now.

Yeh I love that album.....listened to it a few times since I heard the news.Mr Sceptre, check out his music if you get the chance. Really great stuff. He was a huge 'gearhead' (in American parlance) too, he drove, amongst other things, a '68 Hemi Charger in primer and an old Galaxie 500.

Just checked out a couple of tracks on You Tube: firstly 'Its a Wonderful Life'. Top draw, on initial listening sounds somewhere between Lambchop & Spiritualized. Second track was 'Sad & Beautiful World. Right down my street, sounds like one of the slower tracks of 'Once We Were Trees' by Beachwood Sparks (if youve not heard that Barratt, I think you might be in for quite a treat).

I check the amount owing on the morgage each month with a view of getting it paid off one day , imagine my shock when the balance owed went up by nearly 10 grand from last months total , had what can only be discribed as a heated meeting this morning , apparently a monumental cockup has been made on their part , wont go into details , but what a bunch of utter utter tossers

Oh and to top it off the missus stuck my succulant plant ive had for over 20 years out on the front porch so she could hoover and left it there overnight , cue one really sick frostbitten plant ,
