you are amazo and i claim my five pounds

And you wonder why I no longer post on here with comments like that. Some of you really are the architects of your own doom.

Gets my vote for "most ironic post ever".....

I don't think anyone wonders why you don't post on here anymore, they probably just hope you don't. Perhaps it's time you took your self importance and jogged on a little?

Get a mean doggie, SOC. Or turn some mean pussy loose on the premises, like the one that tore up your arm a while back. Or just give A5 (Sasquatch) a shack to live inside the perimeter.

i have all the hand and leg breaking implements at the ready

I have previous experience of being the watch dog in a scrappies at the Boro'...twas a few years ago though......

Update re ticket situation: just called Essex police and spoke to the doziest woman ever in the central ticket office who said that she can't check my details as they have a backlog of tickets and that one hasn't made it onto the system yet, so can I call back in a week's time.

Essex fucking Police. As posted elsewhere, I got a tug driving the Iveco van home last Weds as it was showing up as uninsured on the PNC. Copper gave me a FPN with a producer for my license (don't know why they needed me to produce that as they'd already checked me out on the computer, but that's a separate rant), insurance and MoT. After a mad rush to find my paper counterpart, I finally presented all my docs at Norwich police station this lunchtime, thinking that would be the end of the matter.

Oh no. Apparently my certificate of insurance is not enough, and neither is the word of the desk officer at Norwich police station who checked with the MID and confirmed that I was covered. They now want a letter of indemnity from my insurance company confirming that I was covered. Just rung the insurance broker, who said that they don't do letters of indemnity as they consider (quite rightly) that the certificate of insurance is proof enough (which it always has been in the past). They did however say that they would confirm to Essex police over the phone that I was covered if need be.

So I now need to allow a couple of days for the photocopied docs to wend their way to the Essex ticket office, and then call them and explain the situation. If (as I suspect) they decide that they're going to continue to be awkward cunts, I'm going to have to reject the FPN and let them take me to court. Which is all I fucking need.

All a colossal waste of police and every one else's time.

The 'real time' MID system that some cop cars have these days is a first class example of civil servants (unelected) bringing in a system ostensibly to catch uninsured and disqualified drivers which instead, due to the shakey status of the MID (they never understand that a system is only as good as the data entered into it), causes thousands of innocent motorists to be hassled by the fuzz and the said fuzz to waste time hasseling innocent motorists when they should be chasing villans. I am sure many of us will have experienced this and much depends on the reasonableness of the police officer involved - I got pulled 5 times in 24 hours in Herts driving a 535i which I had insured but took the insurance company a week to add to the MID. There seems to be a total lack of understanding by some police forces over how insurance companies operate - for example very few will actually send out by fax a cover note - yet the coppers will ask for this if a car has been recently insured. I recall an absurd situation when the copper who stopped me asked for my insurance documents - I, like most normal people, don't carry them in the car (the police actually advise you NOT to incase your car gets knicked and you end up with ID theft) so he asked which company I was insured with - when he eventually got through the insurance company wouldn't discuss my policy with him because of data protection...I eventually went on and spoke to them and cleared them to speak to me. They said they were getting so many of these calls they were going to start charging for confirmation.

If I were you wuvs - if Essex police decide to play this one out and be awkward then go to court - before doing so I would write down all the events and actions you have taken to date to satisfy their query and include the names of the people you have spoken to (ie in Norfolk) - take this document to a notary and swear it in so you can present it as evidence to the court. This will demonstrate to the court that you have gone beyond reasonable endeavour to prove that you are legal to drive and the police's pursuing this is vindictive and petty. The judge will go mental because of the waste of court time. Anyway, good luck

One of the units in the yard next to mine got turned over last night (9.30pm according to the CCTV :o )

They broke into a garage, loaded all the tool boxes into a signwritten and taxi-plated LDV convoy minibus, cut the gate open with a grinder and vanished.

I'm particularly grumpy because even though nothing is missing from my yard, they left a load of car doors open (presumambly looking for keys) so everything had flat batteries this morning.

Just told my kids over the phone that Maxx and I broke up. Absolutely devastated still, 2 weeks on. Am 37 and not showing any signs of 'manning up' yet. Hard fucking time. (someone else tell me that it's normal to be this exploded and fucked over a woman at this age).

Still.

Back on forum topic, I'm pretty sure I ran a red light t'other night and got flashed. First 3 points ever. Waitin' for the post.

Throw self out of bed at 6am every morning and make like all is well at work all day. Finish at 3.30, hit offy and get booze.

Pissed every night for weeks now.

Erm.... win.

Pussy wee shit that I am.

Age has nothing to do with it, and the healing process - for such it is - will take as long as it takes. But it will happen.

And remember, you are among friends here. Weird and at times irritating, but friends...

If you tell the fuzz you were having a sneezing fit they should let you off running a red light. May only work if you get pulled in person though.
