Under threat of legal action for inciting racial hatred, Pistonheads has banned the word "pikey" from being used on the boards

Quite how these thieving scumbags are a race is anyone's guess

Just washed the Granny today, can I find my chammy? So it's had to dry in the sun, which means it's going to be streaky until the next time. Mind that was 4 hours ago, so the cats have probably strolled all over it again by now. :( Maybe they won't do that as much when we move.

Bought a Vauxhall Corsa 9 days ago and only used it last sat/sun and today. I have only done 90 miles in it and the oil pressure switch has failed losing all the engine oil while driving. Now it rattles like a cunt!! Buggeration

Fixed my neighbour's daughters Corsa that had this problem a couple of months back. It's amazing how much oil they throw out when they pack up. About £6.75 all in from ebay iirc and a five minute job to do. Might be worth lobbing some of that STP oil treatment stuff in once done.

MONGS with foglights on when it's not foggy.

CRETINS with main beam on in town, dazzling oncoming traffic.

IDIOTS with one headlight on main beam, and one sidelight.

TARDS with sidelights + foglights, but no headlights.

See a pattern emerging here... :x

Have you been in Paphos? You should have said! I'd have bought you a drink!

Considering my interests and lifestyle have an absolutely minimal impact on others, why the hell aren't I just left to get on with things? Even the few things I do aren't without incident. Whatever I do, it seems I regularly piss people off to the point of confrontation. I currently have so many scores to settle that I pretty much need a Filofax to keep track. Contrary to popular belief, I'm not particularly short-tempered, but every day is a struggle where I have to constantly remind myself of what the consequences would be for beating someone to death with a wheel brace. Even the most innocuous things seem to incite confrontation with others and I seem to regularly be treated like shit for no real reason, generally by people who have absolutely no valid reason to talk to me in the first place.

Perhaps this happens in waves and I've had so many dickheads to deal with that I won't have any for the next 20 years or so.

Haha, not quite. Just goes to show there are fcuking mong drivers everywhere. I think from now on I'll deal with the main beam drivers by giving them some long bursts of VW Crafter main beam...like I did to one last night

I seem to easily make enemies with some people I meet, it just happens without me trying! You just have to remember that most people don't really matter in the course of life.

Here speaks a truck driver! Actually that's quite a generous assessment of a typical day...

Now the wheels on the C4 are finally balanced properly, it appears the rest of the car has been shaken to dust.

Used the bus today, for a journey of 8 miles. A single was £4.40, the return £4.50. Why do you get shafted for only wanting to go somewhere?

Ahhhhh...... public radio. Hopefully, we will get ours here de-funded by the new Congress. There is no need for public subsidy of this kind of programming, we're in enough debt. Cut out the gangrenous tissue and save the host organism! Public broadcasting slant the news and lead all sort of political rants and campaigns whilst on public pay, being the bearded lentillists of Scooter's excellent post on nukes, for example. It's not the slanting and ranting I complain of per se, mind. But the public funding of it. With the plethora of private broadcasters, net news sources, blogger viewpoints, and much of it opinionated (liberal as well as conservative), who the hell needs tax money going to opinionated public broadcasting?

Yo Normski! Dont be offended by this, but FUCK OFF!!!!! And praise the lord for the fuggin BBC, its one of the best things about the UK full stop.

Train's the same. Aberystwyth to Birmingham single £21. Return is £23 - though more if you want to stay in Brum and come back the next day. Then you are PUNISHED for having such disloyal feelings.

It is if you're a raving Leftie, it's your natural home! For anyone else, it's just another waste of our taxes. Incidentally, is it actually possible to get a job at the BBC if you're not Scottish? Just wondered....

*Well not mine any longer, but you know what I mean...

No, I agree with Bollox - the beeb is the best we've got. As for it being the home of raving lefties, have you seen the look on Nick Robinson's face now the BLue Tories are in power? Lefty my arse.

Commercial radio sucks in the UK, I can't stand the output from it.

RTé1 isn't bad on longwave.

Missed a parcel today. Never mind, I'll just go down to the sorting office after work as it's only 5 minutes away. Better check the opening times first............7:45 to 12:30 Mon-Fri. Brilliant.

M'c... You want to have a listen to Rock FM. Not the Preston-based ILR, although that's bad enough, but the one we have here in Paphos (rockfm985.com) which is all the English-language radio there is. Something like 6 hours of programming that even approaches being worth a listen, and that's all at weekends. The rest... defies description. Let me just say, the original Ford radio in my Granada wasn't designed to pick up FM, and there's nothing here on AM -- and I'm glad!

+3 on the BBC.

If anyone's in any doubt as to whether it's worth watching then just check the incredibly fucking cretinous mongs ITV seem to emply as presenters. I have honestly never believed for one minute the BBC are a bunch of Socialist Party/left wing/New Labia-ites either.

Commercial radio is dog shit too.

Thank you. Finally someone agrees with me about ITV. I hate it, and the huge amount of unecessary emphasism they put on everything negative, it's like the autocue has all the bad words underlined so they can make it seem a whole lot worse.

And they make a dogs dinner out of most Drama series' they do too, the BBC cannot be beaten on that front.

Whilst the BBC is not immune to producing drivel / employing twats like the racist dom littlewood, it is on the whole fantastic and worth every penny of the license fee in my opinion. Imagine if all telly was like ITV (or Fox, for the benefit of Twatfink). Our brains would have leaked out of our ears and we'd have crawled back into the sea by now.

TV is fucking shit, full stop. I hate it. Anything good I'll watch on Iplayer or 4OD and avoid the actual act of sitting in front of the telly as much as I can. I watched TV the other night, first time in months. There was an advert ADVERTISING TV ADVERTISEMENTS. WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK?

That being said, the BBC has done some fantastic stuff in recent years, even if it is mostly canny purchasing of foreign shows - The Killing is a prime example, although they need to buck up and get the third season of Spiral off the French.

Radio stuff is great on the beeb too, anyone who missed the radio 4 adaptations of the complete George Smiley Le Carre novels needs to get on that right away!

also, if you don't like it, don't pay for it! It's not like you get lined up against a wall and shot for not paying your LF, someone comes round yer house after a year of non-payment and politely asks you to set up a direct debit.

It sounds awful. When I lived in Andover (it was soooo last century!) I did a lot of temp jobs, labouring and warehouses - we were forced to listen to Ocean FM, and by the end of the day I would have been tempted to walk out under a bus if asked to stay on for another hour... 24 hour constant soppy lovesongs, the next track in the same key and same tempo and same sentiment and virtualy the same lyric as the last one.

Aye. Beeb is good - not perfect, but then what this side of a beige Triumph Acclaim with mismatched wheeltrims and a wonky rear bumper is?

Here's my Top 5 Beeb things.

1) David Attenborough's wildlife stuff

2) Bringing Dr Alice Roberts into my world

3) Elbow live at Abbey Road

4) Joolz Holland's live shows (yes, he's an annoying twat, but it's the only decent music show on telly)

5) Commercial free TV and radio

There's lots more, like i-Player, though it's amazing how little we've downloaded lately (good comedy seems to have vanished lately)

I don't actually pay a TV licence as we don't have a telly. I guess that's payback for Chris Moyles, Sara Cox, Jeremy Vine, Steve Wright and the One Show.
