25v6turbo Posted November 21, 2009 Author Posted November 21, 2009 Strange as every site i have in my favourites is spot on except E-bay??Try later.
Mr_Bo11ox Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I've been having a bit of this too, so dont panic!
pogweasel Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 It has ballsed up my saturday searchings for a 1977 Sherpa within 10 miles of my house. very angry
Pete-M Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 It's working for me. Just a shame nobody's put any sensible offers in for my Audi yet.I suspect it'll get a bit of interest from Cumbria as soon as they fix their interwebby connections.
pogweasel Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Does your Audi come with the optional sponsons pack and 3.5hp yamaha outboard then?
Pete-M Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Heh, nah.Them there country folk like a bit of 4x4 though.
garbaldy Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Anyone having problems??I get the homepage and get onto my account, but put something in the search box and it doesn,t respond???Several bits of crap i wanted to bid on....I thought it was ma damn puter tried to bid on a quad for the bairns and it kept freezing on me but whats more annoying is the fact that it whent for nearly £300 less than i was willing to pay ah well have to just keep looking.
Rusty Pelican Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Same for me , cant search for nothing at the mo
mouseflakes Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Yup - my fleabay 'Camry' search is up the creek.EDIT: ...add to that all the ebay searches I have saved in 'Favourites'.
Milford Cubicle Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Same for me , cant search for nothing at the mohttp://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trks ... CategoriesAww, I really wanted 'Nothing' by Meshuggah as well.
mouseflakes Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I think they've stuffed their search tools while adding all this 'seasonal offer' cobblers. Go to the front page - click on one such offer - works fine. Try a search - for anything - it's no bananas.Wonder if sellers whose listings were due to end during this period have any comeback?
pogweasel Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Wonder if sellers whose listings were due to end during this period have any comeback?Ha! Unlikely. Those theiving cnuts will simply demand their money (with menaces) and tough shit to the customer. Well, most anyway, I expect those selling 20,000 faulty drop-shipped fake iPod accessories a week will be looked after.
garbaldy Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I am a bit fed up with the bay at the moment they are a pure rip off.i sold a proton rollcage for £230 and the FVF was £22.99 and paypal charged me £8.02 and then there was the listing fee aswell that to me is a tad on the steep side.is the FVF 10% then
Father Ted Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Listed some moAr chod - but then cant find it in the searches, or even by seller. Bumflakes. Still, anyone up for some retro gaming to install in their car lashed to a 14" CRT telly? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :MESELX:IT
Mike D Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 It seems to have been really slow on my usual under 300 quid shite searches, probably a good thing mind!!!
Negative Creep Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I can't seem to find any cars at all just shows 0 results returned, even when I select browse this category
myglaren Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Ironically enough I just searched for a kettle lead and came here to say all was well with the bay but couldn't access this site instead
bigstraight6 Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I've not been able to get into ebay this evening, must be overloaded with the run upto christmas in impoverished Blighty
Claypole Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I sold a few things recently and the fees these days are just a rip off. Oh and if you have a Paypal account Ebay are shipping ALL your details out to the HSBC, Experian Credit Reference Agency and a Debt Collection company. Bank account, bank, home address, phone numbers, your buying/selling details, how long at current address, etc etc.
mirafioriman Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 It would be good if nobody in the world used ebay for one week. That would give them the shock of their lives Direct action works!
AXrescuer Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Same for me , cant search for nothing at the moTry searching for something then!
25v6turbo Posted November 22, 2009 Author Posted November 22, 2009 Seems o.k now,but the sellers fees are a joke,i sold a Stanpart Triumph valance for £155 but got chanrged £17 in fees,terrible!!!
Rusty Pelican Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Same for me , cant search for nothing at the moTry searching for something then!I have and couldnt , tried loads of random searches but couldnt get nout
mouseflakes Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Arsebiscuits! They appear to have removed the option to limit searches by vehicle year.
Gompo Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 At the moment you cant define what genre of music you want to look at CDs from - wank. Hopefully I can sort of get around it but still a pain in the arse. It's been buggered up for nearly 24hrs now..
CIH Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Arsebiscuits! They appear to have removed the option to limit searches by vehicle year. Just go into ebay cars and put in the year as search criteria (assuming it's been fixed ofcourse).
mouseflakes Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 So, every year between 1960 and 1992 in my search criteria for each make I'm interested in?Previously they gave the option of ticking all the years you wanted (so I did - 1960 to 199something) and then run the search - save the url to favourites - and you're away - one click and you get your search.I'll repeat the above but with all those years in the actual search string and see how it goes.EDIT: Okay - bit of trial and error, default search looks for listings with all the words in the search box (so a long string of years fails to find anything), but use 'Advanced search' - 'any words, any order' - will work fine for a list of years*. I'll have to build and save all my searches again. Why don't they just leave it alone!!!???*The 'any words, any order' just seems to stick a pair of brackets around the list of search terms and separates them all with commas - so could just do that yerself.
brammy777 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Yeh ebay screwed up my saved searches this weekend, its deleted a few too, I had lobster as one of them and it no longer works! Also it times the emails as something like 9 in the morning, yet i get them at 4pm. Not very handy if a bargain pops up is it..............
