It is air cooled and rear engined and has proper van wheels and plenty of ground clearance so there is nothing not to like.

About that roof - is it just to allow standing up or is upstairs where the bedroom is?

As a young pup I spent many happy hours in one of those,my Great Aunt and her husband had several,the one I most remember is the 1970 bay window one.

I used to love seeing it trundling down the road.

Happy memories especially since my great Aunt died last year.

I’ve had six of these, and restored numerous others.

Im on a T25 now, originally bought as a stop gap while I did a bay up.

11 years it’s been a good stop gap!

My mate had one in his yoof when we all had minis, Chevettes or mk1 Fiestas. 

He loved it, used to go to festivals before they were cool. We hated it.

It did about 50mph and drove like a milk float. 

He said it was great, you can bimble along and stop in a layby and make a cup of tea. 

We pointed out that in our "Proper" cars, we were already home and in the pub by the time he got to the layby. 

30 years on, I can see where he was coming from.
