These Azuma trains are nice. They have blinds on the windows and digital things to reserve your seat.

Now on my last train of the day - a TransPeninne heading for Manchester ;) Half (p)leather seats on a train for heaven's sake!

Get your last guesses in now folks. My mid life crisis will be revealed in less than an hour!

Less warm. EP3 was right, I think... You can correct me if I'm wrong in about 20 mins lol

That was quite a convoluted route from the west coast of Scotland. Some miles covered by train at least.

Hope you have fun on the way back.

My new toy ;)

Type S, EP3 I believe. Lovely little thing!

Thanks so much to @1duck for hanging on to this for me so long when work got in the way. I nearly bought one as a first car but it was a trade in at a Ford dealer and the sales guy obviously wanted to sell me a Ford. 13 years later, I got my wish :)

Re-fuelled and trip reset. Let's see what I get on the run North.

Now I'm back on my own 4 wheels again, I have a few more collections to make.....

no worries on that front, my driveway is perfectly dry...although to be fair it hasn't moved properly since about january. That would be an awkward one.

Next collection is from here. Suzuki Jimny specialists who have a stunning black Alfa GTV in their yard.

For this... lol

Complete back box and centre section for £30 :D

It is rather boomy and I think it may need a new tyre or possibly calliper on the front but apart from that, the wee Civic is driving very well! 35 miles covered so far, which I think is more than the Saab managed.

One more collection to make and home ward bound :)

Wow good collection, sir!

A type S, the Honda Civic version of the Golf Driver ??

Stopped at some sort of services on the M62 for dinner :)

Sadly the Starbucks is closed :( I could really use an iced mocha right about now. 24 degrees outside according to the car.

Spent many a hour sat on that platform back in the 70s and 80s watching the Deltics come rumbling through from the power station just down the line at Ravensthorpe

Looking at the super chargers, I’d say Hartshead or Birch

It appears to be cruise night for stupidly modified Vauxhalls so I'm hitting the road again.

Scotch Corner achieved :) Awaiting further instructions whether I'm going the east or west coast home. Does anyone have a working number for @scaryoldcortina?

In the meantime I am going to stretch my legs for 10 mins and see if Starbucks On The Go is any kind of substitute for the real thing.

Touch wood, 140 miles now covered with absolutely no dramas and returning bang on the book 37mpg. Pretty good considering the fannying about I did in Yorkshire before I hit the motorways, and my right foot ;)
