gm's unhealthy obsession with mx5s - Exo is back on the road, new wheels looking great

the mighty mx5 had its annual appointment over the pit of doom

and passed ! 

basically the jacking points are all buggered but not within the prescribed area. no mention of the exhaust this year  

the plan was to sort all that welding out over the winter but that sodding bini put paid to that - i’ll get round to it eventually.

in the meantime, let’s hoon !

also this week, the first outing of the year for Exo to the North East Restoration Clubs monthly meet 

and a cracking drive home chasing a suprisingly quick Morgan down the A1

loads of events lined up this year, hopefully some track day action too

I really, really need to be a bit more proactive in sorting one of these things for myself before I’m too old to enjoy one.

I totally regret not jumping on that sub £1500 one on the facebook group the other month 😢

It really is an experience to drive. I can only imagine it’s the closest you can get to a superbike but with the security of four wheels and a roll cage.

As much as I’d love to now I’m old enough to afford two wheeled toys, Claire knows what I can be like in a 400bhp Range Rover so the one thing she puts her foot down over are motorbikes.

THH, I can’t really blame her.

She’s not averse to an Exocet though so I’m not complaining.

Got this sitting in the garage, correctly registered, done about 100 miles since it's last MOT (didn't MOT it last year), just need it out the way tbh

2.0 pinto, lots and lots of new bits but bloody uncomfy 😆
