way back in June, i ventured north of the border to collect the green mazda

i brought it home and parked it up on the drive

the plan was to sell the slk and use this as a daily…..

hmm, that went well

so the merc is now sorn and the insurance moved onto the patiently waiting mazda 

and it’s been worth the wait - i’d forgotten just how good a drive this car is - somehow i’ve managed to hoon my way through a tank of fuel already, roof down all the way  

stopped for pics at a seemingly abandoned pub on my way to the coast

after a successful hoon around weardale for twixfest, the Exo was needing a wash

 

no matter how careful i am with the bucket and spong, things do tend to get a bit damp. so i didn’t bother trying to be careful and settled for getting it clean instead  

aye, very good - now how to get all that sheep shitty water out of the footwell ?

break out the wet vac

surprisingly effective 

a quick hoon round the block and it’s dry as a bone  

not quite spotless but a big improvement

lucky i checked the coolant before setting out today

will need to keep an eye on that, i’m hoping it’s just airlocks cleared from when i replaced the radiator.

anyway, out and about this afternoon

glad you finally got a chance to see what it’s all about, and those roads are just perfect for it.

goggle are pretty much essential, a speck of dust or a bug in the eye at 60*mph really hurts, even rain on my shiney dome stingles when pressing on

i don’t think i mentioned it but i sold the green mx5 that i bought off retroshite who bought it off aldo135 who bought it off me  

and replaced it with a bini i bought off peterC

plans for the winter - Exo will be hibernating in the garage round at me mams house and the mighty mx5 will move into my own garage for some much needed sill welding.

the bini should cover both daily hack and weekend hoonage duties - it does go like the clappers
