I'm one of the few people on here for whom Rovers hold little appeal, but I've got to say your 827 is a thing of beauty ?

Nothing but happy memories of those Rover fastbacks. My mates dad had a 827 Vitesse. Really nice car, sounded awesome. Built like shit though, he jetwashed a hole in the wing and the dash had all that wobbly effect that they all got in the sun. Would have one though.

Metros aside, I don't dislike them as such, I just don't find them interesting in the main. My Dad had several - two 214s, a 216, a 45 and his last car was a 75, which my Mum still does about 750 miles a year in. With the exception of the 45 - which was a complete dog - they were all perfectly good cars, but I couldn't honestly get excited about one. Still, you never know... I didn't used to take any interest in old Volvo estates before I started hanging out here!

You need to drive a Rover with a T-series mate , either NA or turbot - it'll change* your life

My stand out favourite on my fleet is the 420 - it gives so bloody much and is a hoot to drive. A few on here went for a drive in it when we met up in the NE and seemed to like it.

Currently looking at one if its still there at the end of January i will likely buy it.    Exhaust emits blue smoke during acceleration check out my other thread and tell me what you think ?

@HMC  I have definitely had a few of those moments especially in S2 mode the V6 sound and the exhaust note are sublime ?

You need floor mats for it. I *may* have some in Beige or Black but mostly dark Green, maybe some in Grey.

I have searched Hi and Low for some mats in Beige and so far been unsuccessful. How much do you want for them good Sir?

Yep. Quite a lot bluer than my Mk1 was (820e Fastback).

I do like Zircon i almost bought an 820 in that colour but saw the MK1 827 the same week and opted for that instead. I do prefer the Mk1s over the MK2s but will no doubt own a MK2 in the future
