No, they are aftermarket. The low spec ones were on plain steels.

Not a Yaris.

Funnily enough, we were followed for quite a while on the journey up by a dark blue 2004 Yaris.

I do have to sort of sit 'around' the steering wheel.

Also spent a lot of time scrabbling around at the fuel station as I couldn't find the fuel cap release lever.

Cheap motoring.....perfecto.....does it have a daihatsu engine?
Yea they do. Now I don't know if they copied the Daihatsu engine under licence or was bought as a lump from them

It's an ex taxi.

Steels are much better, but need a tidy (not high priority)

Engine is directly Daihatsu, I believe many parts have Daihatsu on them.

We've made it back to Essex but missus is taking advantage of finally having wheels again so we are wandering round IKEA. I've told her we'd be lucky to get a LACK table in the back of the Kelisa! ?

That’s great work there.  Only needed some “oldin’ aht yer ‘and” action for the holy trinity.

B+

Ah, well there's the issue.

It was a swap deal, the seller was not present, in fact nobody was. The keys were left in the car's ashtray and I posted the Rover keys through their door. Very dodgy. ?

Also didnt these have a small square number plate offset on one side (I maybe imagining this).....and the oil filter is accessible through the front bumper?

Edit - I must have been thinking of a foreign one.....I know this is the Daihatsu version of the Nippa....

With the Avontazo (/Cuoare or however it was spelled) that is correct. Perhaps it's the same here, however I do see that the distance between number plate screw covers is wider than what a square plate would be.

You know a car is shite when it looks like this...

I still think that the Daihatsu Cuore / Perodua Kelisa look far, far more like a modern interpretation of the Mini than actual new Minis do.

Hah!  Shame it wasn't yesterday.  We decided to venture up there after work.  I would have definitely have stopped and looked at this... with my other half scratching her head...

Well bought.

That needs a square front number plate and nothing else. Top shitting.

Also, great to see you found a (nearly) perfect solution to your automotive woes. You get a sound motor, the Rover gets mended and it didn’t break the bank.

You know, when I had mine a few years ago, I said exactly the same thing!

Pictures actually flatter it, it's got loads of bumps and bruises, mismatched paint and I'll fitting trim.

I checked the oil (when I got back - as you do) and it wasn't even registering on the dipstick! Oops.

Fuel gauge is iffy, will have to be careful.

Looks decent, here's hoping it serves you well:)

If it were me I'd just let it 'car' for a while before doing anything to it. Most of my stuff gets a month or two to prove itself before any effort goes out on it.

Those mats look pretty fit. As does the interior generally.

Well bought.
