Hopefully anyone else getting a Shiply quote from Vehicle-logistics247 will check him out on Google, find this thread and discover that he's a time waster who doesn't do the job he's been paid for.

Nothing shows up for that company, can you send the actual link please

I don't think there is a link as such, that's just the clown's username on Shiply.

There were a spate of users on shiply changing their usernames on a near weekly basis

Thanks for all the support guys, appreciated.

Barrett, I'll contact your man for a quote, its good he's transported hydraulic citroens before as one of my concerns was the underside would get scraped to fuck as this one isn't running.

Also thanks Ben, I'll see how i get on with the above but may still get some contacts from you.

Im a bit less angry now, im not an angry person, far from it but this had me properly wound up.

have you tried searching for his number to see if it comes up on any other company names?

I've had a response from Shiply with the chaps name and full address  if a refund isn't forthcoming then I will small claims court his ass. The nice lady from shiply has refunded my 'deposit' to my shiply account and relisted the delivery request on there. So i'll see what happens in the next day or two, quotes have started at £400 cheaper than the first listing so I maybe even pay less this times around, who knows!

The company name listed  (from the details provided by shiply) now seems to be Recovery 247.

Did you pay with a credit card?

If yes, you can have a great time doing a chargeback on the loser.

No, more fool me. Nor paypal (because cost) I foolishly sent it via bank transfer. So no clawback really, I'll see if he replies in the next day or two and might speak to the bank to see if anything can be done. If not, i've used the small claims court before to success.

Definitely not funny for people to bombard him with requests for lucrative long distance jobs, then

I hope you get it back,  but it sounds like he won’t be cooperating.

Sounds like a job for Sheefag

Small claims court by all means, but this sounds like fraud, which is a police matter.

Horrible experience for you, hope you get a solution.

So court case opened and Vehicle-logistcs247 has until 29th July to respond to the case, im hoping it won't go to a hearing - what would the point be? And also it's another £80 outlay.

However, the BX will be collected THIS EVENING! Not sure of actual delivery date, but at least it'll be partway there. I R EXCITE! The seller has been a real gent about it all, beret well and truly doffed.

^ how do you serve him with papers? Can you serve him via email address?

Serving the court notice is done via email and post, so either way...

Good luck with the legal stuff & don't let it spoil your enjoyment of the car. It looks mega, more updates soon please.

This is great!

I'm so glad you got it sorted out. Best of luck with the legal stuff

Ooft!  Looks like a TRS, too, with those fabulous plastic opera windows in the rear quarter pillars that had all gone opaque by 1986.

Absolute winner.

TRS auto with air con, la creme de la creme. Maybe only bested by a GT with a/c or a sport with a/c.

Its arrived! Full update in morning, im fucked now, had to push it quite far down the road. Nighty night.

Good to see this in your grubby little hands finally, after all that faff.

Must be a very late Mk1 with those side repeaters. Looks well worth saving as a whole, but if you decide it's only going to be a spares car I would probably give those wheels a good home...

If one were to end up with a BX (or CX...neither of which I'm likely to be able to afford these days) and it was a second gen car with the more conventional instrument panel and driver controls...how difficult would it actually be to swap out for the Mk I setup?  Assuming donor bits could be found anyway.

I'd love a BX, but ever since I had a shot of a very early one (and a GSA) I'd always be sad I didn't get one with the properly mad dash that was Citroen doing what they used to do best.

Hard to tell in the photos, but that doesn't at a glance look too bad...how rotten is it?  Always seems sad to see a saveable car become a parts donor and bean cans...but they're not Mk II Escort money yet, and I know how awkward to find certain Citroen bits can be* so it's sometimes just the best solution.

*The daily driver in my driveway is a Xantia Activa, so that's a game I know well!
