Looks like a Taunus 12  or 15 m there false wheel drive & share nothing with the UK consul MK1.

I'm not (yet) sure what it is, but I don't think it's a Taunus P4. Wrong grill, wrong bonnet, wrong bumper...

Agreed. It's definitely not a P4 which was a later car with very different looks. I wondered if it was a P1 or P2 (12m or 17m) with the radiator grill missing but I've checked on the net for the underlying structure appearance and neither have 4 apertures for radiator airflow, just one or two depending on the year.  Opels don't match the appearance either, nor does a UK Consul/Zephyr/Zodiac MK1 which is more slab sided.  I can't find any likely export or licence built variants which match, or indeed any more obscure marques which fit the bill, so I'm still stuck with Taunus P1 12m if I ignore the front air intake details 😀 .

Being in Iran it could be a locally built car, but the photo is from back in the days of the Shah, when Iran was far more open and west leaning so I wouldn't expect them to have the need to cobble their own variants together using only local sources like they have to today. Spares from abroad would have been much easier to get hold of as well, so you wouldn't need to bodge a grille for example (not that that would stop an enterprising home mechanic).

Mmm. In the first few production years the basic spec P2 apparently had a different grill with less chrome. Looks close...

I think you've got it. I could not find any P1 or P2 photos which showed four apertures in the underlying grill structure.  Your photo shows them clearly. Well done!

Any idea? We're somewhere in Zaragoza. Some sort of kit car I suspect.

VW-based kit car; possibly beach-buggy style given the four-seater arrangement.  Fairly sure it's got a Beetle windscreen too.

Only question is which of the many, many VW kits it is.  The styling is reminiscent of the seventies Bradley GT, which did have a four-seater variant, but the car pictured is more modern looking by at least a decade - certain bits are pure eighties - Mark Four Corvette and possibly a bit of Ferrari if you squint.

Best guess is someone with a Miami Vice fixation had a go at modernizing the Bradley body, circa 1985, and came up with that thing.  Who knows what it's called, though!

Any idea what the car on the right is? Is it a mk1 Cortina? Looks like it's front wheel is missing, so it could be a Reliant (joke).

LHD Bug, tho

It's an early one, definitely 57 or earlier going by the windscreen, and retro fitted indicators replacing the semaphores. Looks like a big rear window, so someone chopped up an oval or split

I don't know about the origin of the photo, I found it on t'interweb.

This is haunting me. What is it? Looks like metal so possibly not a kit car. Simple window design and body at the back suggests something cheaper than the DB7 it kinda resembles. Tiny exhaust suggests cheap too.

Location? Was thinking another one of those Brazilian VW coupe things, or if over here calton Carrera.

Assuming the Lexus beside it is parked close to the wall then it's very small, I'm thinking Mini based? Close to a Midas or a Unipower GT but not quite.

What is that, lurking in the background? I think we're in West Germany as the army kept VW afloat by buying lots of Beetles for use in Germany.

An arty photo, we're in The Netherlands, any idea what vehicle the gables are being reflected from?

indeed - the radiator aperture on a MGA is quite small and combined with a similarly small engine bay, over heating was a concern for the designers - the vents are actually functional as well as rather nice !
