Spitfire can just do one, igniton switch is playing silly buggers and I just can't be arse with this car.

So let's take something reliable and comfy out for a trip to the shop instead.

Shite-tastic ! I am particularly impressed by the invisible* conversion to chrome bumpers.

The chrome bumper front wings even have the pressing in for the proper indicator/sidelights that the previous owner(s) just needed to cut out rather than making another hole in the front valance.

A better look on the lift finds some more things to suggest someone did really like this car at some point.

So you'll have it on the road by dinner time, right?

In other news, your welding and fabrication work on the Trabant got an absolutely glowing review from my MOT tester this morning.

Brake master was stuck, stripped down, cleaned and re assembled and bench bleeding it got it working again. I'll order a rebuild kit at a later date but not before I've had the car running and tested it round the yard.

Clutch was also empty, master didn't feel stuck but the slave had clearly weeded everything out and was stuck. Stripped down and freed off I could get fluid moving but alot of air.

Also while looking if a rebuild kit for the slave is avaliable I clocked that the last person put the slave of has the bleed nipple and hose the wrong way!

Clutch slaves on MGBs are notoriously hard to bleed as they trap a pocket of air, maybe is that why.

The other trick is to bleed the slave off the car at a better angle.

The bleed nipple on the clutch slave is usually fitted in the wrong location as the manufacturers put the nipple in that location for ease of packaging reasons. As there are no instructions in the box, people assume it's the correct location.

However it should be where the pipe currently is.

I never found mine hard to bleed when pressure bled and the nipple in the right location. If there is trouble then taking it off the car and using a zip tie through the pushrod+slave (to stop the piston coming out) while having it dangling often helps.

Clutch bled up and functioning. Clutch plate not stuck to flywheel whoooop!

Brakes bled up good enough for a test drive.

Fuel system clean next then maybe we are good for a first start attempt

PO was a bit of a golfer it seems

Does it have a brake servo? Iirc that is the tee-off (haha) for it.

I also say as a failed diaphragm in a servo can suck all the fluid out of the master!
