Fark me, those JU250s are miserable enough to drive in standard form - I shudder to think what they must be like with a fucking great Luton box on the back.

I'd absolutely love a 420 Turbo, especially as that one seems to be about the only unbarried one left. It was on the bay for ages last year with a BIN of something like £2,000.

No, the grill with horizontal slats came in for 1987, the Land Rover oval for 1989. The bumper/airdam/spoiler is later too, as are the rims. The rest is correct for an 82 though, which was the first year for the more door.

A 1982 should look more like this:

This looks fantastic, the 420 Turbo was a real Q car, just a shame it suffered from chronic torque steer.

I actually test drove one of those once, and I have to admit I was rather underwhelmed by the performance.  Don't get me wrong, it wasn't slow, just not nearly as quick as I would have expected with 200bhp in a relatively small car.  I didn't think the torque steer was too bad - but then at the time I was using a tweaked Saab 9000 Turbo as a daily, so I may have had a high tolerance.

Look at this wee sweetie hiding away in the parts section.

Looks like a bit of sill grot there, and the faded Ingerlund flag perhaps doesn't bode well, but at that price I still would.

That JU250 looks like a Boxer puppy that's been set upon and beaten up by a flock of rowdy geese. I think they even guffed (repeatedly) in its face.

I was furiously rubbing my trousers over the cavalier coupe until I saw this.

I had the chance of a really tidy ex-giffer owned one of these last year for 1800 quid. I had the money, I should have done it.

If I sold the 340 and got a minor I could save about £500 quid a year I reckon spread across tax and insurance.

But that would probably be offset by the fact the 340 is worth about £200, a decent minor being 7 times as much perhaps.

Oooh

Don't worry, a classic dealer will soon have that up for £45k parked on some gravel in front of one of those new oak barn garages so you feel much better about being rooked for the £20k you're paying over the auction hammer price.

I need a new chair, current one in the front room is about as comfortable as a bag of cement and I've decided at 34 years old I should have a chair that's called mine in true old man style, what do you think of this bad boy?
