Why is it listed in the "carpets & floor mats" section?

Good question since I don't even think I'd stoop as low as to wipe my feet on it.

Only 500€ for this, not far from Calais either! Get on it!

That is just the Chihuahua's knackers. I swear to God you're going to get me 1) divorced and 2) bankrupt one day with finds like this.

That Ferrari has had OVER 30K SPENT OVER THE YEARS BY PREVIOUS FOOTBALL OWNER.

I once owned a football, a couple of shuttlecocks and dog chewed tennis ball. I've never spent thirty large making my car look exactly the same as it did before though.

I proper fancy a TD Streetwise at the moment

I do like those, but why were so many only sold in 4 seat format - I look at them on the bay, then get to the pic of the back two seats and bloody great space between them and think "what is the point?"

Isit a Bader?

Sorry mate, it looks like a manual to me.

If it was the 2 pedal version I may have snaffled it for my sister.

^^ Wow! That almost needs to be in a museum. If I had the money I would actually consider it. I did say 'consider'.

I always wanted to try a "real" 650 Visa. If I had the time / energy / space / skills I'd graft the front of this onto a Visa Van

Why is it listed in the "carpets & floor mats" section?

It's got that sort of half arsed/watered down respray look and the obligatory tide mark, but seems an honest enough old thing with a decent description.

'Bodyworks not the best after peeling off stickers that where on it the paint has flaked . Rust hole in drivers cill not gone all the way through though . which someone has covered with tape. Previous owner for some reason decided to remove the rear springs and chop the front . however do have original rear springs in boot. Interiors not to bad glovebox door is missing but seats are all clean no rips that ive seen . When i picked car up battery whent flat and once new one was put on hazzards wouldnt stop flashing so ive removed indicator bulbs . and front passenger side would require a whole new light as someone has sprayed it black :s . I did intend to just break it as can get around £200 ++ for engine and gearbox but dont have the tools or the time'

'If car makes over £200 ill keep the momo rotas on.'

If that makes over £200 you should keep the Momos on, moonwalk backwards naked through Harrords, paint your tits with day-glow green emsulsion paint and declare your undying love for finger banging slightly bemused seals at a sanctuary in Norfolk.

I think the vendor of this learnt English from an intensive* study of Facebook, but what a lovely car

The paintwork looks flatter than a witch's tit but £800 no reserve with an MOT doesn't seem bad. I bet these rocket up in the OSF stakes before too long.

This looks fucking class but sadly I CBA actually spending time looking for the bargains thread where it defo deserves to be...

I'm having to sit sideways now because of my trousers... I've just looked at the ad for that Daimler.  Oh boy.  I love the colour, and I'm not put off by the frilly bits of bodywork because my cars have to live outside.  A show queen is no use to me, that looks like a nice daily, which is what it needs to be.  However...

The frilly bits could very easily run away ahead of me.  There's a cold-running issue: been there, it's a pig to chase and could be expensive (like the bodywork).  There's interior work to do, admittedly not much that I can see.  But the big one...

How often do you hear me worry about economy?  There's more to life than mpg, etc.  4.2 XK engine.  You need to own a petrol station, or better still a petrol company.  I love it, but like Christina Ricci, it will always be from afar.

Posted

That'll be carbs as well I imagine, Eddy. My S3 (4.2) injection would do anywhere between about 16-26-ish MPG. You might well get a few quid back by selling those hateful wire wheels and getting some steels and trims instead.

Posted

At that age, yeah carbs, two BFO SUs with a third, mini-carb, in between to aid cold starting.  That was the setup on my S2 Sov and I was lucky to see 14 out of it, I reckon it was closer to 10 most of the time.  A pure joy to drive but don't look at the fuel gauge...!

Will these ever get the "Scimitaresque" catchphrase "Michael Schummacher had one of these"?....

$_35.JPGDefinitely shite, this one's £500, no reserve, 2 days left. It would appear to have been pissed about with though, and it's got a bit of leg. WCPGW?

Hmm, I just tried that myself, and got the same.  Going to it from my watch list works fine though.  It's a 1990 Bluebird 1.8 automatic with 33,000 miles up.  I'll fiddle about and see if I can link it properly.
