Not the best reg though😬

Definitely not! Did a Mondeo feature in the emails? First thing I twigged too. If I bought it I’d have to get a cheap private plate to stop my brothers giving me a ribbing about that plate!

There's quite a few high mileage S320CDIs around for that price but 2 owners and black make this a fairly decent deal.

A car that imo has aged absolutely beautifully and I’m always shocked by how cheap they’ve become

I know, it's insane that these are sub-3 grand cars now. If you consider however that a CL500 of the same generation can be had for just 2 grand more and the next generation is just above 10 grand now (which is even more insane) it does make sense.

This is stored in a unit over the yard from mine. The thing was absolutely "titch and quackered" about 12 years ago, and it's been stored in a hedge since then, until finding it's way indoors recently. I was totally impressed that it stayed together on it's 150ft journey from the hedge to the lock up.😂

This reminded me of a tale from my youth.

With my then girlfriend in my fiat Uno 60S (very important to include the "S") we went for a drive and walk down port eynon. Weather was amazing when we left but halfway along the beach in shorts and t shirts the heavens opened BIG TIME. Nowhere to go or hide wet got royally soaked, honestly it was one of the biggest flash showers I've ever seen.

Back to the car and it was still chucking it down so main clothes off, engine on , heater on to dry out. We decided the best way to dry them was to put them all around the windows, we always had a couple of blankets so they met up and  went over the screen.

Of course as a pair of randy 17yr olds we parked at the back of the carpark and obviously at the site of her almost naked,  we started having a bit of a fumble which quickly escalated as you can imagine. It was pretty quiet down there because of the rain and the wet clothes helped with the full "steamy windows" experience. I thought I'd chuck the stereo on to drown out anymore evidence of skullduggery. Of course, heat of the moment and all that, I hadn't realised I'd left a rather large gap where the two blankets met, irrelevant with the steamy windows but by now, the sun had come back out in raging fashion and hence dried that area up really quickly.

I'm doing my best Peter North (in miniature form) impression having watched a pirate copy the previous day of his skills and then she starts getting a bit frantic and writhing everywhere...... Me of course convinced that watching the Peter North film has given me new find abilities, this only intensified the situation with me thinking I had hit the sweet spot here.

Unbeknownst to me, as Guns and Roses Appetite for Destruction CASSETTE  blasted away, two older lads had obviously figured out what we were up to and come for a watch....... Right through my window gap...... Of course the full wardrobe of clothes hanging around the windows didn't really help matters.

However her franticness and my excitement led to a "too late" moment causing a rather powerful eruption.

I went to give her a kiss afterwards and she slapped me right across the face saying she told me to stop because we'd had an audience for the last couple of minutes and the franticness was simply her in a panic at the two lads having a great laugh at my antics while she tried to get up to save her dignity.

Ah, great.

We spent the next 45 mins drive to her house in silence. We had a laugh later on about it mind 🤣🤣🤣....... But were a bit more cautious in the future.
