Saying that, what could you buy for £26k?  It wouldn't get you very far in a franchised showroom - Suzuki Vitara, off the top of my head?  I know which I'd rather be driving...  Were you to spend that on a RWD Escort, the only one you'd get would be the 300E estate, complete with sidevalve donkey.  Again, I know which, etc.  OK it's a big chunk of cash but in the end?  Yes.  I would.  But preferably with a Gentleman's Gearbox.

Looks like the air filter setup I had on a 1.6 Montego with an S series - there's also this little thing tucked away - LPG vaporiser - they've fitted the different intake so they can feed the raw LPG into a wee plenum system before the carb?

No idea why you'd want to LPG up an A Series though?

£1500 seems fair enough for that.  Someone will be along in a moment to say it's £200 worth of car but, if it tickles your fancy, then you'll get a good amount of enjoyment there for a modest outlay.
