Even if a rad is going to fit in front, the bonnet will need air vents of some sort cut in it. It looks like a project that got stalled at the moment it met the limitations of reality.

Not sure. They may have been sold alongside each other in Switzerland. The equivalent Taunus had a squarer profile.
