I would love one of these in proper original condition, unfortunately this one seems to have its original (and unique) ST headlights. Plus it’s the least impressive colour for one of those. So AH’M OOT

He posted this pic on facebook. Does that offer any insight? Am tempted!

It does, it’s actually his brake flex is that are knackered, wow!!!

Easy fix with new flexi lines but it’s not driving anywhere.

It’s a bit of a bargain price for a BX these days if it’s not rusty.

That's unusual though, never seen it happen before. Could be a dodgy crimp on the hose as it all looks quite new.

Weirdest fault description ever, the brake pipes keep popping off ???? What? I say again WHAT?
I think he might be referring to the front suspension strut leak back pipes for returning LHM, but popping off brake pipes would be almost impossible unless someone has made a real bodge of flaring some pipe with a Citroen 3.5mm ‘bubble’ flare. And even then they wouldn’t just ‘push back on’
As an aside I partly learnt to drive in a 1987 BX that colour.

Exactly what it says, flexi hoses popping off the caliper, apprently. Consensus seems to be a pressure build up somewhere in the system but I'm not sure how that would work. Hope it can be fixed because otherwise that looks like a brilliant car – absolute dream coour combo for a Mk2

Not sure if it (partly) failing the test on running out of fuel is a bit sus, as surely you'd just lob a  fiver's worth in and then get the other (minor) fails sorted?

For Sale - Absolute knacker of a thing

You could be the next poor bastard to own this rot box.

If you can get a magnet to stick anywhere on the van, you can have it.

Ideal work van. No chance of having your tools nicked out of this... They'll just assume you have nowt.

It's deafening to drive...sounds like you're coming in for a hard landing in a glider somewhere near Arnhem when you're on the move in this.

Brings people together with laughter wherever you go.

Says it's on 36,000... But it must have been round the clock at least 3 times.

1.8 flat diesel

And I know what you're thinking.... Is it tested? No.
Will it pass an MOT? Don't be bloody stupid.

I would if I were anywhere near it.

Base spec Audi 80 1.8 with a clock where the rev counter would normally be.

1988 Audi 80 in Newport, Wales. £2,700

The reluctant sale of my 1988 Audi 80, this car has been in our family for nearly 40 years. Only selling now as no garage to keep the vehicle in. It has been in a garage for most of its life. Good condition for its age,It needs some TLC now with a classic car lover, No time wasters please this car has lots of sentimental value to my mother.
