I'd love one. We had B144WYG in moonraker blue when I was a kid. It got stolen from Sheffield city centre while my dad was at work, and kindly driven most of the way home, before they abandoned it on a school field less than a mile from home. Sadly they'd left the 'hot wire' connected while driving it, plus smashing it up the kerb and across a field meant it sadly ended up at the scrappers.

I have been looking for another moonraker blue one, but they are pretty much none existent.

Don't think I've seen a surviving Moonraker Blue one although I've seen one on a YT video, I think you can hire it. I think the VDP one I listed here recently was that colour.

I was looking for a red one because that's what Dad had but gave up in the end and settled for white. It is pretty 80s.

Broken Ligier Ambra.

Interior just screams quality*.

This is what confused me, though.  Unless I'm missing something, the spare tyre is only rated to 21mph.  Surely they don't make tyres that shit, even for these?

Is that dash blow moulded, like a Milk Tray insert???

Certainly looks like it to me.

Isn't that just the top speed of the thing in any case? ;-)

Diesel version wouldn't be far off, but the petrol one I had would do 60 given a long enough run-up.

How can it be broken? There’s nothing to break.

Yes, but without the structural integrity.

Barn find Chrysler 2 Litre which, wonder of wonders, appears to have spent time in an actual barn.

Ready to put a match to the petrol tank too.

I’m more interested in how rubber goes mouldy?

I actually didn’t realise they sold them here. Over in France you avoid them as the only ones driving them are alcoholics who have lost their licence.

You could get both with the 5.0, not sure about the UK market.

Think the Explorer was only ever officially sold with the 4-litre V6 here.

They were never massively popular here but they filled the niche left by Reliant as they could be driven on a bike licence.  Some were also bought to tow behind motorhomes - being <750kg gross they didn't need to be braked.

According to Wikipedia both the Explorer and Mountaineer could be had with the V8 and fulltime awd, part-time awd wasnt.

That is not correct.

As from 2022 theses vechiles also need a  contrôle technique (the French MOT)

Definitely needs saving and not just a back axle donor.

Also wasn't it the Firestone tyres that exploded that gave the Explorer a bad rep?

No, but Eddy has better taste than that 😀

Thank you, but I really don't!  I do rather like that.  Apart from the price, the only real negative for me is that rather grating high-roof moulding.  I'd live with the colour scheme, because at least it isn't grey like everybloodything else.  I'd live with it being the facelift model, because at least it has the 2.3 slant-4 which is the engine I want.  I'd even live with it having a manual gearbox.  But none of that matters.  I can't afford it.  Simples.

I do still enjoy seeing what people find for me though.

Hmm, I just wonder which way round this is going to be registered?

Quelle surprise...Ding dong merrily on high, in Swansea bells are ringing! Fucking hate people who do this shit.

Who wants to shop it before some poor unsuspecting sod buys it, gets pulled and gets bent over by the authorities?

Foiled in their disposal plan by the 180's prodigious thirst emptying it.
