Conversely when the same trailing arm broke off on the Renault 6 it would shake like a shitting dog at anything over 30mph.  Strange given that they're basically the same car underneath.

Yeh, it was only the tyre scraping on the arch that alerted me that there was anything wrong!

The yard I bought my SL and caddy in had a 560SEC in similar condition parked up. Unfortunately these do like to rot. Still probably the allround best car of the 80s.
