There's something about those Mk2 Transits that just looks 'right' - even with a camper body on them.  I don't like camper vans at all but if I had to have one, I'd take that one.

2.5 Connoisseur, looks good at £500 with 7 hours left. Cambelt done and that, plus some modestly shit private plate.

In my new capacity as a gigantic dullard, I can reveal that the lack of an engine-capacity "torpedo badge" at the bottom of the front door means that OMG PROJECT DRIVE had begun to set in when this was heaved carelessly off the production line.

Fucking hells-bells.

Feast your peepers on this neighbour-impressing wonder:

I have snap of this very van somewhere.

I fitted a pair of front shocks to it circa 1999.

The thing didn't fit thru the workshop doors,so just the cab was inside.

The then owner wouldn't get out while we worked on it,looking back i think he was living in it..

Thats about the only car I can think of where you could appropiately fit a red nose.....

Or McShite clown full costume :-)

You know what, considering the amount of work that must have gone into that thing, and the fact that it's actually road legal, three bags doesn't seem too over the top.  Not really my cup of tea, though.

Are you serious?

3 bags would yield a fleet of really nice Autoshite, mind you. Especially if you take into consideration how hard and long you have to slave away for 3 bags nowadayse. In fact, you have to make 5, because some multinational corporations and the Rt. Hon. Mr Osborne will automatically help themselves to two of them just because you are born and live.

Want this.

Don't suppose anyone is close/going that way/speaks car buyer french?

It says in the ad: "me faire offre sérieuse !!"

Which means, 500€ is a bogus price just for the ad, and he expects a 'serious' (read: substantial) offer.

As long as we ridicule dreamers on this here forum, we should avoid making the mistake to become such ourselves.

That Saab's identical to my old one, nice cars these. Looks good value, 12 mins to go and £430, wonder what it'll end up at?

I get that part - but my French isn't good enough to  get a reasonable understanding of what he actually wants/will accept hence the request.

We do have people who venture abroad occasionally on this forum...

After 23 years in the trade I'm not sure I qualify as a dreamer. Thanks though...I think.

He certainly is though, since he doesn't even offer a hint as to what he is really asking for the car. I'm in this for over 30 years and what I gather from the ad is that he is a dreamer, a mong, and best ignored.
