The Zephyr in the background looks more interesting.

Judging by the grille it's a lowline. Zodiac ( post 59 have a lower/flatter roof) but the painted headlight surrounds are from an earlier hiline consul.

Looks like three new contenders for the 'just bloody scrap it - fuck me, what were they thinking?' thread. But they're getting bids - must be the Sercks getting folk moist!

Very unusual colour scheme - particularly the interior. Never seen one like that.  Some problems but does not look too rusty at the corners where most go on the inner wings.  Given it is non-MoT the bidding is quite brisk. Worth a punt if you have the space and ability to collect.

I was looking at that HSV and there was another V6 Commodore as well but the trader lad that has it now swooped in and bought them both. T745CPP is its reg. It wants a LOT of work, rear driveshafts and CV's, alternator, it's had a ton of welding too. Rear arches have both had work. The other commodore wasn't registered, and was the one i was after after the description of the HSV, however the matey seemed to have dug a reg up from somewhere but it didn't come up on half the checkers.

I guess these are a bit thin on the under coat like the Japanese imports as they don't have a need to salt the roads? I imagine without any protection they'd be quick to melt into a rusty blob in the UK

You used to be able to pick up LS1 Monaros for 5-6 grand not long ago but those days seem to be gone.

It appears that a Mitsubishi Flying Pug is actually a thing. From Wikipedia:

'Mitsubishi had originally planned to build 1000 examples. However, the bodywork was heavily criticised by the motoring press as being ugly and this variant was such a sales flop that only 139 were ever made (built from September 1997 to June 1998). Mitsubishi's rather ambitious sales literature for the Flying Pug indicated that the vehicle "sported the classic looks of a London taxi"'

That proton looks great. That will be really interesting to see what it makes. If it's ends up less than £500 it's a bargain.

If it ends up at £500 I'll have it, but I doubt it will. Perhaps we could have roffle so that we don't all end up bidding against one another.
