cherished plate maybe but it doesn't belong to that car. if thats a '74 model I'll eat my hat.

 

I am pretty sure that is a genuine City model - the single dial, the seats and the graphics are all City fittings. And let's face it, it's not the model that anybody would ever go to so much trouble to 'copy' a-la 1275GT

 

Mother face had a 1981 City and I don't think they made them much before that.

 

Verdict - STINKS

Here's an early e12 based 6 series. Ahhh,  put it away before it dissolves!

 

 

This is a 30 + year old in good sound condition, but will require attention on an on going basis.

 

Is code for "I can hear the rust fizzing if I leave it outside for more than 15 minutes"

The Mini city came out in July 1979,they had black bumpers and all Mini saloons had reversing lights from 1976.That car is a city, wiper switch on the columb and the brake master cylinder give it away.Change the bumpers, rear lights and number plates but unfortunately Troy states strictly no dickheads so the only people he will fool are banned.

They had punched-in VINs commencing 1973, so it would be interesting to compare the chassis number against the paperwork.
