What would most of us do to have a space like that and a lift to go with it. Wonder what happened there.

Looks like an abandoned dealer as that Alfa Sud we had a couple of pages ago is in the corner.

Going by that picture it looks like a good honest bloke has put it up on his post lift and then had a full scale psychological breakdown.

Seller is at least honest in saying:

"In need of a lot of work"....

Yeah, I have a mate with a unit he rents via his LTD company that has all sorts.  2 x 3 meter cnc . Machine tool.

Lift, lathe, milling machine, 5 knackered cars. Various projects.  He uses the office more.  His uncle does more work and he's retired.

It's cheap and tax effective, but most of his work is on clients premises.

Starts removing parts, spends weeks fixing, get it running, something else breaks, has it all apart waiting for parts, goes into hospital/meltdown/starts working on something else/dies/gets a real job.

Car or workshop? It's hard to say what the 164 needs other than usual sitting/dereliction probs  if it's dry in there. I spent more time looking around the shop than the car. Dealer tools shadowboard  on the wall.

Indeed.

It looked quite tidy for a 1976 Maxi and had low mileage.
