eBay tat volume 3.

@egg Bit spendy for a non-runner.  I reckon they've valued it based on the plate rather than the car.  That said, it's a nice colour combo and about the condition we're looking to acquire one in.  I'd want it running and a bit less rusty for that price, Somersets aren't exactly high value investments.

one of history's shit cars, apparently. my dad had one when we were small, an 1800 Super Deluxe. (LPY576P in vermillion - long, long gone now)

it was rubbish, and ace at the same time, it took us on holidays, to work, shopping etc for around 5 years, and it was second hand when he got it.

i remember pushing my fingers through the wings near the headlamps, which dad repaired with fiberglass ad a rattle can.

but ALL 1970s cars were rot boxes.

this one looks nice. but i like the Marina. and yes, i am odd.......

its got a square steering wheel though.....

You're saying that like as if it's a bad thing it's got a square steering wheel! Rare to see them with it still.

no, you misunderstand, as that is the sweetest bit,

the square wheel is the thing that would seal the deal for me.

If you go on their Facebook page and look at that Allegro it looks decidedly more 'hastily rattle canned' than the eBay pictures appear.

Have to admit this is a new one on me (the engine, not the fact it's a Bravo)

Yes, I knew that engine was in the smaller Fiats but not in the Bravo. I wonder if the BHP has a little bit of Italian flair about it (i.e. a little over optimistic!)
