“Pontiac Fiero kit car based on Ferrari Testarossa“

I suspect it’s actually the other way round, old bean.

Although the potential to strip off the plastic and get to a real Testarossa underneath might better justify the £4k asking.

The warped plywood fins are my favourite bit.

Personally for £2650 I’d want a front wing that was made of metal rather than half chewed Werther’s Originals and overspray, but then the new owner will probably just plaster over that with death’s head stickers after angle grinding the suspension to fuck.

Do you know, I never knew there was such a thing as a 780 until I saw that.
They're great looking things. Also available with the ex-VW LT straight six turbo diesel which is the best engine option.

Never made in RHD, so we never got the benefit. Would have had a very limited market in any case, much like the 262C before it.

EDIT: the more I look at it, the more it looks like the big sister of the Maserati 222. Rear side windows look similar to the BMW E30 2-door, and the front reminds me of the C2 Audi 100.

ooof, Jensen GT , one of my dream cars, shooting break and Lotus 907, a reasonable price as well, damn my lack of funds.

And I would want the wipers on the same side as the steering wheel.

It was a witty* reference to a locked for sale thread for a VW Derby .

Sorry about that.

Early 80s VWs/Audis may not be your thing in that case ;-)

Early Audi Coupés and early B2/C2s all set for LHD. They didn't know then whether it was worth the tooling cost, although it strikes me as mad given that they had spent loads on everything else to make it RHD.

Early mk2 Golfs had LHD wipers as well.

I suspect it was more that they were seeing whether they could get away with saving the tooling cost, rather than being uncertain about volumes.
