They'll never be worth what the DSs are worth. And I say that as a CX owner. The other problem is that DS survivors outnumber CXs here and have greater recognition - by contrast, only about 160 of all RHD CX types still on the road in the last year. Parts prices are (or will be) a major discouragement if your only source turns out to be CX-Basis.

Some of the classic car magazines have been talking up CXs since at least 2014, but that's had little or no discernable effect on values as far as I can see.

Right so, errm..... let's see whether he gets his asking price, shall we....?

I may be 52 years old but the teenager in me has mucho likey for that.

Obviously it will be a shitter, and you'd be better off with a standard 1.6 but hey.

Says the man that once went to look at a 3 door cosworth Sierra replica with 2.8i running gear and bottled out.

Says the man that went to look at a 2000e sapphire with Xr4x4 2.9i running gear and cosworth bodykit and bottled it.

Yes, this one. I'm no David Bailey, but I do wonder with the standard of some of the photos, where someone has obviously decided "that'll do"

I take it that was an advert for a rotary washing line, or a bit of hedge.

He reckons that 4wd Dodge 50 miraculously gets 200bhp from its Perkins Phaser and will do 90mph!!!! No Dodge 50 has ever got anywhere near that EVER.

It was duel wheel rear axel but ive removed a set as it is so light with no rear box we couldn't get enough traction with 4 wheels on the back, these are available for re fitment.

I've taken some wheels off to improve traction' - good strategy m8! we're clearly dealing with an expert here

The 'yellow' one looks the same colour as a 2p piece that's been left in the gent's urinals in Chester market since 1975.

'it had suspect head gasket failure'

Interesting* fact. The first car I ever bought from the auctions was one of these. It was between sales, so they just started it up and I gave them £50 and drove it home. It smoked so badly people were openly laughing at me and it was down to about 12 mph for the last mile or so. Swapped it for a Daewoo mountain bike that turned out to have been stolen from a Motorworld store.
