this looks like it was a really, really nice metro, before some bell-end pulled the engine out (cos 1275) and then has listed the remains for what he paid for the whole, fully functioning car.

bastard, or, from the username, CUNTington......

That's called winning at life.

I Facebooked him out of morbid curiosity and he appears to have a supermodel for a wife. As a result, he probably has even less interest in this thing than I do. The opportunity is there for anyone concerned enough to buy it and save it.

Someone should do an e_bucketeer and ride this back from London, making several hundred stops along the way to charge your batteries

You're the high bidder

Could you emulate Bucketeer a bit more and attach a small trailer with a Lidl petrol generator in it to save stopping as often?

This looks like a reasonably good way into W126s. Currently at £1250 with a day and a bit to go.

The seller is fed up of the usual eBay buyer shit. Either that or the pictures flatter it massively and people are sensibly backing out. Possibly a bit of both.

Edit: now £1430

The oul man bought a 1987 300SE out of Enfield Car Auctions years ago. Cost him £1300. Looked decent.

He sent it into the local MB dealer workshop. The only flaw they could find was that the steering was a bit fucked. Anyways, how much to repair? "Two grand, Sir....plus VAT."

It went back into Enfields Auctions the week after. He got £700 for it. That's the only Merc he's ever owned.

A very early early Maxi with 'Austin' on the bonnet, £2k no offers. I assume it has no MOT. Looks like it's part of a collection that needs shifting and includes the Toyota van (?) next to it.

I didn’t even know G-reg Maxis existed. You are teasing us horribly with a link back to this page instead of the listing...
