It does seem decent for the coin.

One of the rear quarterlights does seem to be made of carrier bag.

The slowness appeals to me in a perverse way.

That's just over the river from me. Whitley Bay is grim but the chips are good. £850 sounds hopeful to me, but I guess decent ones are getting thinner on the ground. They're all slow so may as well get the slowest one.

Think it was reduced to £695, did say £850 in description though.

Opel did the 1.2 OHV and the first Family 1 engine in 1979 for the FWD Kadett. The facelift B2 Manta used the 1800 Family II OHC. The 1.2 OHV was used in the Astra/Kadett. It cost buttons for GM to do this - they were profitable then. Getrag made the gearboxes.

I'm not 100% on the Ascona B using the Family 1 engine.

Isn't 1980 too early for a family 2 Manta?

I think he's just assumed its RWD - the engine bay, wheels and interior look 100% standard (& fwd) to me

Jesus, can you imagine what kind of person would decide, in 2018, that fitting a (secondhand) TR40 kit would be a good project. Just take em to a nearby canal and lob em in FFS

Yep - Family 2 Mantas were late 82 onwards.

Since we've got a K11-in-the-background thing going on:

Very tidy looking (from this distance) Saab 900 with non-droopy headlining.  £2300 but it's been on for a couple of weeks so there may be haggling room.

Remember - a MUT is for life, not just for Christmas.

Fuck me, you could part that out and at least double your money. Or fit a manual box for a Panda supersports.

Look forward to the collection thread!

Dear Santa

I have been a really* good* boy, BUT I am concerned that utterly pointless bullbars on UK 4x4 are just too pedestrian friendly. Can I have something that is just not in my stocking please?

Dear Santa

You might have found me one that wasnt painted with a shovel by Stevie Wonder ffs

P.S. and 10 bags for fucked Olli'd car with a tenuous link to Rory Reid?!?

If Rory Reid is classed as a celebrity now, I was in the rossendale free press when I was 9. Does anyone want to buy an old golf? £4000?

-Quite a busy MOT history but it's a 4 door with headlight wipers and metallic-giffer. What more does anyone need?

I can smell the rear leg and arch rot from here. That's a tub of Isopon away from Heinz.

To be fair, even the vendor thinks the number plate is appropriate.
