That Senator seller is game:

"The Senator has a tow-bar and it would therefore be possible for you to locally rent a trailer, for you to tow the silver one back with you"

Pretty sure that's going to exceed the towing capacity of the first car.

I read an article in a car mag years ago, where someone had fitted a turbo to a 205 just in front of the back box. His impeccable* and well-informed* reasoning was that once you'd filled a hose with water, any pressure adjustments at the tap end had immediate effect at the spray end, and an exhaust system was basically like a hose but with gas. I'm guessing that he was deluged with offers from motorsport teams after it got published.

EDIT: Actually I'm not sure that it was a 205, because he said he couldn't fit a turbo under the bonnet. Although, given his grasp of GCSE-level physics, f**k knows what his spatial awareness was like.

Twas a 205 8v! Found the company that now flogs them. I was quite impressed from the 'thats different' and bloody hell its still competitive and winning angle. Whilst waiting for SWMBO to do some shopping...

There's a guy in Nottingham that breaks Omegas and only Omegas who goes to collect scrap Omegas for breaking with an omega and a trailer.

I'm sure it's fine to have 7 partly stripped Omegas in the front garden of your ex council house as your sole income.

It's sad there's not that many of these about now. They were quite a stylish thing that was up against it right from the off with the success of the Cavalier before it.

FFS, there's no way that's worth a bag as a non runner.

And let's not forget the Clarkson effect.

This looks smashing.  Nice engine, none of the rust that's usually tearing through the arches and doors and even a standard issue panama hat in the back.  And just LOOK how fresh those fluids are in the bay.

Lovely.

Lovely.

The 210 sort of passed me by, I drove a few when they were new, but always thought them a bit inferior to the W124, which I loved. Later I owned a couple of W211s, by then most W210s were nasty looking wrecks with scabs and holes in the wings, even at £2/300 I ignored them.

I'm beginning to regret that now, an early straight six such as this, will surely be the most desirable in years to come. Don't think I've ever seen that funky Avantgarde cloth in beige either.

This car, if kept as nice as it is now, is a sure fire £7,995 white room special in a couple of years.

My thoughts exactly.  All of this.
