eBay tat volume 3.

Well, it's a Simca 1501, which a fairly major black mark against it. At least it's  'Special' so should have the floor change, so it might actually be possible to drive the thing without having to spend years acclimatising oneself to the gear 'positions' of the column change.

Nevertheless, this is actual, genuine Autoshite: a rare, UK-market example of an unloved, forgotten car from the 'Shiter's marque of choice in fantastically appealing scruffy condition but seemingly solid and usable without any unnecessary work. And, it's no money whatsoever. What other big '60s saloon could you get 'on the road' for under £2k? The fact that nobody on here has bought it yet is a depressing insight into the changes that have gone on here over the last couple of years.

Please note, everyone: THIS is Autoshite. A dull 1990s blanmobile with cheap leather seats is categorically NOT. O, the shame.

Rhd, Rebuilt engine. What's not to love?

It is very AS isn't it?

No big following, rare as rocking horse shite, French, do not paint, unclear as to whether the engine is definitely in the car, slightly inaccessible location. Yeah, it's all good.

Sorry - posted at same moment as Barrett! Great minds...

You should buy it Egg_Man! I'd happily go down and drive it back for you (assuming the engine is actually in the car). Vendor does seem like quite a reasonable chap tbh

Early Mondeo wagon.  Been off the road for a while but doesn't look too bad tbh.

Barrett, we can’t all drive 1924 panache croissant devouxs.

Some 90’s stuff is as valid as that Simca it’s just what you’re into .

Since no cars were launched in the 90s or later, I'm with Barrett here.

I know I should, and that's a kind offer.

I just don't have the mental, physical or financial capacity at the moment.

Just add it to my list of life's regrets...

From a deceased estate. There is a similarly modified 40's Humber in the same auction. Makes you wish you could have met the maker of these over a mug of tea in their garage. Lovely. If it has an uprated TR engine should be good for over 100bhp so could be a bit of fun.

He obviously had a fear of being rear ended, judging by all that reflector tat.

THIS is Autoshite, too......Unloved motor derided by every critic, every conceivably ill-recommended tat nailed on, chopped up P6 grille and looking exactly how late 50s and early 60s stuff did back in the day.   Not sure about "fitting" the TR3A engine, the late Ensign deluxes came with the 2138cc unit anyway.

If I had the bollocks I would make my Cowley look like this and fuck all the anoraks.  If I had even bigger bollocks I would buy this and daily it.

Just fucking lovely
