No, it’s supposed to be in the bin where it belongs.

The amount of giffer tat on the outside of that poor Jag is outstanding. Not a single one of those boot badges is original. The bonnet is a mess with that leaper and wonky self adhesive chrome strip. The side trim is of a Daimler or Vanden Plas, the wheels are off an earlier XJ and the septic side markers are just plain wrong.

On the other hand, the interior is glorious and the engine is magnificent.

Removing all the tat provides a perfect opportunity to respray it in beige, no?

I like the way you think.

This looks a decent enough winter hack for a monkey.  Sadly has the later 3-litre engine rather than the 3.1 in the title, but at least it should be slightly more economical until it shits its cylinder head.

Today's scientific experiment: What happens if you introduce these together head on at 5mph?

£650 buys you a log book and 48p's worth of scrap

To be fair, done up these are starting to fetch stupid money so probs a decent buy.

Grrr, left hooker. I have an interest in very square German vehicles of this era. Just saw that down a bit on some black bbs. My vision was scuppered by lhd and purple seats.

But you would be living in Quarz Zeit!

That 2 door Audi 80: chap in the shed behind it makes a living out of chopping up LHD 2 doors to make shells for "quattro" rally cars. They look very well done,to the casual glance.

Did we ever get the 2 door MK1 Audi 80 here?

£55,000 for a £600 van with what appears to be £20's worth of spaghetti wiring and just assorted old crap thrown in/on it

'Almost no wood was used to minimize any chance of mold or moisture issues'

Look at the pissing state of it. Looks like a 1960's wardrobe with an Allegro choke cable and a Pifco fan stolen from the top of his local VG shop in 1974.
