Shoot me as it's a Gumtree article, but it's a nice piece of fresh Soviet Shite:

Small pointers:

"Complete and genuine car." Oh good.

"Rust free!" Check again.

"Brown leather interior." Oh yes!

Bulgarian LHD import but oh well.
"We can pick up any potential buyers from London Central Line station." Yes yes completely genuine seller. I'l bring extra cash just in case.

I was not sure wether to put this in the tat, never heard of this, or "bargains" thread.

It fits in them all.

Colour choice wins my approval. Hideously low milage. Comes with DVDs and portable player as it's a speckle survivor and waz featured in a programme called "Flipping Bangers"

As a quick addition, Car and Classic is full of droolworthy shite I look at it quite a few times.

It could be Tina Turner's chariot in a shit remake of Mad Max 3. The pop rivets aren't even inline! What an utter bag of shite.

very original condition and appears to be complete.

Somehow I can see that. What boat did this anchor once upon a time?

engine has been stripped but all seems complete

He's quite unsure about whether all is here.

Engine in bits on a floor with bumpers and all. Apparently the floors are solid. Interesting.

£1500. Bargain by Bagful or Beat it before it Bites?

Project plan:

  1. Buy an MGF that could have been fixed.
  2. Buy a mini pick up that could have been fixed.
  3. Cut away enough of each car that they could never go back on the road again.
  4. combine with gaffer tape and false promises.
  5. Spend 16 weeks making wheel arches that don't actually cover the wheels.
  6. Change your mind and lob it on ebay.

*All potential removed with an angle grinder several years ago.

The words are basically horse manure though. Series 2 was launched with the 4.2 litre engine only but for the 1975 MY (so during 1974) it got the 3.4 too - essentially to replace the 2.8 from series 1 (which was always underpowered). Seller seems to think the car is unique (it's not) and so does his 'Jaguar mechanic'. Shame really as it looks nice and 'early 3.4 series II' would be an honest description in my opinion.
