What happens at MOT time?

I would be more worried about the 'performance' 2.0 four pot engine, they are probably the worst engines BMW have ever used and not what you would call performance either!

Strangely attracted to this low mileage beauty, seems to have covered about 10 miles a year for the last few years, probably the journey to the testing station and back.

When was the last time you saw one of these on the road?!

They were everywhere years ago. In my younger days I had a car cleaning round when I was 13-16 and my first customer every Sunday morning after my paper round was a gent who had a 5 door in the same colour as this, then it was over the road to do a 75 and back up the road to do a MGTF and a Megan- I'm also just starting to realise why I love shite cars so much!

Immobiliser fault causes car to start then stall

Mine did that three times within a month, and then it never happened again.  Flaky French electrics...

Yeah, well they put those wheels on it, thus infecting it with Goona2-itis. Of course its electrics are going to be even worse than normal.

Wasn't somebody on here looking for a pre-war mid size car recently?

'Car sold without battery'

Really?

Nothing says skinflint like selling a £1850 car without a battery, be it shagged or not shagged.

Posted

Even if the car is £500, if they say that in an ad they can FRO.  Has stopped me buying stuff in the past.

To be fair, he does say he has 'serious health issues' so might not be thinking straight and just wants it gone
