Must have been the best job in the world being a coach seat designer in the 80's. All you had to do was get smashed out of your bonce on Class A, then get the crayons out.

Club Cantabrica / Snow coach used to run these in the late 80s into the 90s. I see it says Spain on one of the windows, wonder if it was one of theres at some point.

I want to go on a journey in that private compartment down behind the rear axle. That looks like a really interesting way to travel!

From what I gather via FB, the lad who bought it from Wuv has split with his GF - and left her the Mazda.

What a hero. It’s like the final insult.

That's like leaving her with an STD.

I'm an absolute SUCKER for handwritten documentation of expenditure.

The 5 series of this generation (don't know E numbers, sorry) still, to me, stink of small town nightclub owner.  But these are grand looking things, especially the arris.

Latterly with Garnett's coaches the fronts from a far later Van Hool. I may have driven this in the distant past as we had a batch of these for Club Canteabrica, Intersun and Club 18 30 bonkalot contracts when they were new. The rear lounge is quite fun to travel in, as long as you don't worry about what would happen if the coach was arse ended by a wagon!

I contacted the seller about the 504 as I was also going to bid. The engine froze recently throwing out a freeze plug (his words) and blowing the gasket, possibly worse. It's also rather bubbly in places, mostly on the front wings and door bottoms. It's the engines woes that put me off...

Good luck!

Let's put it like this : in the unlikely event that I do win the auction, and assuming the worst engine-wise and body-wise, it will still be in better condition than most of my current fleet...

Could any of you bus experienced guys give me an opinion on this, I really want it, but not if its a money pit. I'm fortunate enough to have free accommodation, so now is my time if I want this crazy idea to come to fruition!

All old buses are money pits, even with free accomodation. B10m's are as good as you'll get with generally available spares but Jonkheere bodies will rot as well as any other from this era. These will be 4m tall so handling isn't as good as a standard height one and damage one of those front screens and you'll cry at the bill. Cannot remember what these did to a gallon, less than 10 I think, but generally better than a Scania which can drink diesel faster than I can drink beer.

Pays your money and takes your chance as they say.
