Squire Dawson told me something always breaks on these, I can't remember what.

I don't care anyway. I want one.

The six cylinders had a fibre timing  gear which regularly failed - was probably installed to quieten the engine but the tech was not up to it. Most I'd assume replaced with a metal one. These smaller engines may also suffer with this. Beautifully engineered car but a bit 'fussy and slow' but great for puttering about. A relative failure when on sale. All summed up in Roads to Oblivion - an excellent book on how it all began to go wrong with the UK motor industry in the 50's. Lord Nuffield's house - he owned Wolseley - is owned by the National Trust really worth a visit - he was a great guy and gave many millions to charity particularly medicine. A real engineer - he even had a workshop by his bedroom. Still there. Book:

Car looks good too - and a proper auction by the look of it - no 'reserve' or threats.

A bloke at work is currently selling his horsebox. A C reg Tranny with a 2 litre pinto. I said I'd mention it on here if he wants as there might be the odd nutter who's interested. Fancy it Bo11?!

I'm going to politely say 'no thanks' - just don't think I can accept living in a pinto-powered house

I used to sometime drive a pinto powered Luton transit when I worked in a mill .

Anything over a 2mph gust would have you in a walnut crushing clench as it tried to veer across the carriage way or take off.

What do we reckon this is realistic worth. I contacted seller after missing it on auction. Buyer being a bit of a pita

The price guide Lady, she says £1,075 Retail.  Yeah, that'll be sitting for weeks getting it shifted.

So £700 tops private sale?  Only because of the nicest colour they ever did in these.  Still a lot of motor and you get the renown 2.2DCi chocolate engine too

I love the quarter arse angle on these

My heart skipped a beat when I saw this!

Then i saw the price and it stopped completely

My thoughts as well, but if I was going to spend £11k on a car it would be on something I really wanted, like the Matra, not a brand new appliance devaluing by the second.

AX GT doing well, so is there a retro following on these now?  This one isn't even that clever

it needs a repaint and some minor welding

no test!,expired 29/8/17

radio is a none standard fitment ,doesn't work and a sting tape is stuck in it.

It is a bit special this one, what with the leather  :-D

Biggest following is in Holland it seems, a couple of traders seem to sweep Europe and prices the highest.

Cheapest place still seems to be Italy for these, especially the 1600cc

Not ideal for Bonneville then?

I've seen it and I think the smell of horse piss that's soaked into the floor is more of a deal breaker...!

I had 4/44 - 4 cylinders and er...44 mph. Again lovely engineering but s l   o    wwww. Certainly does not need an 'engine transplant' tho.

Sure doesn't disappoint in the eBay Bullshit Bingo department either.

A quote by F. Scott Fitzgerald which talks about this as well: “The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function

I can forgive the bingo fella as he's only asking £550 offers and ticket is to December

Apart from that, bingo fella has both a Dolomite and a laid-up Ford Classic 315, so bingo fella should be on here

"Talbert" Motor home

https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C930041

Seems to come with a motorbike I think:

1987 Talbert motor home fitted with motorcycle carrier and the cream on top is a 1965 BSA Bantam in lovely condition. Total price is £6,450 OR...... MAKE ME AN OFFER, WHO KNOWS YOU MAY TEMPT ME.

Bit of an odd selling strategy. The chances of finding someone who happens to be looking for a camper and a classic bike is probably quite slim, its probably easier to make two adverts mate.
