Stone me, this is a bargain and a half if you handy with a welder.

The MOT fail is due to corrosion on the subframe mountings, suspension mountings, parts of the inner sills, and inner wheel arches

Price: £250 Offers invited

The rear doors even still have their plastic on!.

VALUE, that is. I'd be right on it if it were a few hours nearer.

Here, let me get that for you:

(Change the last number in the 'img' code to '84' for sensible pic sizes.)

That looks brilliant, and not too dear at a bag-and-a-half.

Some random elderly relative (great, great aunt I think) of mine had a Humber Sceptic, I always remember the reg started UUU. I was always impressed by the car and will have to own one one day.

Appalling yellow tripod

I'm not sure what's worse; the fact that someone is still making these or that people are still buying them and not de-Trotterising them. If ever I come into money, I'm going to buy as many Trotter vans as I can and do the world a favour by painting them in proper Reliant shades. Worst of all, three wheelers are really very overpriced for what they are, as I found when looking to buy one. If that were a any other car treated to similar comedy styling, you'd be lucky to get a kick up the arse for it.

How very true, they are as different as night and later that night.

Incorrect actually, I love it about as much as I like it when 50 tramps jizz in my face at once...

That sounds pretty much like the ideal Friday night round here.

Wow. I bet that bloke with the Reliant is a real 'character' known for his great sense of humour down the local pub.

Read: Annoying unfunny prick.

They're ok. Not world beating/top of the class/best car ever etc, but then you wouldn't expect that from a £300 diesel. They're actually reliable, pretty good on fuel, pull well and mechanically pretty tough. But you will get laughed at by badge snobs.

Why is it that cars you want always turn up when you have no cash. I had a lhd 24bt and they are a great piece of kit and make an amazing sound. The engine would be worth the money in france on its own if it has been built properly

I love how that Maestro seller has deleted 2 of the numbers of the reg. 'for security' and then put it in full on the photo...

Wow. I always loved the RV8. This will get mega-expensive I assume, but what a thing. "One of one".

Also this is basically the same shape, but beige, and should be cheaper.

Only a few years back you used to see these on eBay occasionally for like £4 or £5k after they had been bummed for their twin-cam straight six engines to fit into older and more valuable astons. I always thought it would be ace to buy one and get it up and running with £300 worth of XJ40 engine. This guy has fitted a supercharged one from an XJR - WINNER!

I've just injured myself looking at that Aston. What a stunner!

I too would 'do' an RV8. Truly BL-ARG's pinnacle of recycling ancient technology.

Just learnt from wikipedia that 2000 were made - 1579 of which ended up in Japan, which explains why I've only seen 2 in my entire life.
